I'm late 60s and want advice on what I can use on my face to give it a fresh but no make up look. Clinique BB - gel felt nice but was a strange colour when I expected it to have no colour.

Guide me wise women of S&B.

I use Heliocare tinted sunscreen in light. Provides very light coverage and is an spf 50.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the Olay total effects BB cream. That said the equivalent untinted moisturiser also adds something to my skin. The one with the SPf, you don't get the same from the fragrance free one.

La Roche Posay has a light tinted spf. The ELF tinted serum is nice, too.

LouisaMayAlcott · 12/08/2026 18:00

I like La Roche Posay tinted sunblock but also Eborian CC cream. It’s factor 30 so not as high spf as the RP but it makes my skin look like I’m wearing nothing and I just have much better skin. I really like it! I bought a small tube to try it but I will be replacing it with the big tube when it runs out.

I’m in my 50s and highly rate Nars tinted moisturiser if you can find the right colour. They have a big range. I also like their liquid blush.

Lumene products are very good for my older skin ( early 60s).

Lilypad34 · 12/08/2026 20:11

Stupid expensive but the Chanel water tint is really lovely.

Lunaballoon · 12/08/2026 20:28

Erborian BB and CC creams. Light, barely there coverage, blurs imperfections for a “you but better” effect. Highly recommend!

Yes I really like that make (late 50s)

Trinny London provides exactly this for me.
I have the BFF SPF30 which gives very sheer and natural coverage.
I love their lip + cheek sheer shimmer too.

What’s the difference between BB and CC please?

3peassuit · 12/08/2026 21:20

I use ultra sun tinted sunscreen and a little Trinny London cream blusher. I’m early 70s with olive skin.

SwedishEdith · 12/08/2026 21:43

I like the La Roche Posay tinted sunscreen but it does have a Donald Trump effect on me if I'm not careful. They do a non- tinted as well and that with a bit of bronzer and blusher is enough for my skin. Well, certainly in the summer.

ginislife · 12/08/2026 21:53

I bought the Eborian BB cream recently and it’s very nice. I’m waiting for a tube of Luxe to be delivered. Was highly recommended. Both are Korean skincare

AFAIK, BB cream is light coverage to even skin tone, blur imperfections and CC is a more medium coverage for colour correcting etc.

fifi1989 · 13/08/2026 16:48

DR Jart premium beauty balm is great and very light. Evens out skin tone nicely and just makes you look more... awake.

outerspacepotato · 13/08/2026 16:59

I use Glossier Skin Tint or Beauty of Joseon tinted sunscreen over Cosrx snail mucin power essence.

Apprenante · 13/08/2026 17:19

Where do you buy Eborian foundation please?

cloudberry · 13/08/2026 18:36

I buy it from SpaceNK

MrsMitford3 · 13/08/2026 18:44

I was told by someone on a make up counter that Clinique is for young skin.

I use Nars tinted moisturiser.

It might be helpful to book a consultation or go somewhere like Space NK and get one of the staff to help you try different options.

youngwhippersnapper · 13/08/2026 19:10

The best way to achieve a no makeup look is to wear no makeup.
But do focus on a good skincare routine and wear SPF daily.

Gowlett · 13/08/2026 19:15

Revolution Balm, the Jones Road dupe, is great. On it’s own or with a cream bronzer.

suburburban · 13/08/2026 19:58

Clarins is good, I like their tinted moisturiser

Highonmyownsupply · 13/08/2026 21:02

Where do you buy Eborian foundation please?

Large branches of Boots stock it.

ScribblingPixie · 15/08/2026 00:16

Erborian cc is good for me - I went to Space NK and they matched and gave me free samples of others to try too, but this was best.
