Walking sandals that will look good

Without sounding too elderly I need sandals I can walk in for my holiday (to Porto, Portugal)

but I also want to look stylish with nice dresses and floaty trousers, any suggestions?

Black or tan preferably

I bought the cream version of these fisherman sandals and they’ve been very comfy since day one. Wore them to walk around cities on holiday last year and they were fab. Am wearing them again this year and now eyeing up another colour way.

Try the brands Fitflop (backstrap versions), Teva, Ecco & Gabor

I’d go for birkies, fit flops, or DMs. I swear by all those brands for comfy sandals you can walk in. Depends on your feet but I think you need to be careful with DMs as some fit your feet better than others. Voss II are the style I wear most, and have four pairs in different colours as a consequence.

I have those Fisherman’s sandals. They are very, very comfortable. They are currently touristing me around Berlin.

I find Moshulu really comfortable, I have a pair I have walked quite far in. I also have a pair from ‘art’ that have served me well too. When I am walking really long distances I wear my North face sandals but they don’t really go with dresses/skirts.

And the black fit flops here looks pretty good. Was scared on DMs because breaking in their boots has been agony in my younger days I don’t want to repeat!
Im not keen on sketchers or teva but they do look comfy…

I quite like an ugly sandal with a pretty outfit. I love my Tevas. So comfortable and stop an outfit from feeling too done! Jo Ellison is someone I find incredibly stylish and I realised recently that she almost always wears an ugly shoe.

Maybe have a look at Teva, Sketchers (lightweight and VERY comfy) or Hotter Tourist sandals - I have the Hotter ones in gold leather, tan leather and black suede and wear them all summer. Good luck!

I work as a dog walker, so walk some miles, and I find my Moshulu sandals very comfortable.

I have an old pair in a different colour that I've worn on many 20k+ steps a day city breaks in hot weather with hills and cobbled streets with only the occasional blister, which is very unusual for me.
