Truthfully, I think they all look cheap - including the almost £400 floor-length polyester/viscose satin "gown", which is much too much - & would also swamp you even if altered.

Is £400 your max budget?

The key question is - what’s the dress code?

Black tie - green dress is lovely but if not black tie it looks like you are trying to be a bridesmaid.

where is the wedding? We have a beach wedding in September so my dress choice is very different to if it was a Manor House etc.

What type of venue and event is it? Vintage country barn with barn dance? City centre glitzy hotel with cocktails / band / DJs?
How old are you and how old are the couple getting married?

Have a browse on Zalando. They have a cocktail dress section. Various lengths and styles. Lots of labels reduced.

Despite being (yet more) polyester, that second dress from Zalando is far nicer than the dated OTT green one from Wolf & Badger. It's more modern-looking & fits the brief - plus it's one-seventh of the price ...!!!

Gosh just noticed the green one has a huge split in it. Much too much.

I just had a similar question for an event with a cocktail dress code. I asked about this dress and feedback was mixed. In the end, I had it shortened to basically maxi length and wore it and it was absolutely perfect for the event. I didn't feel either under or overdressed and was very happy with it.

I'm 5'4", hourglass and an 8, so very similar size and shape.

Yes, true. It probably is. Lots on Club L that could be suitable though - at a quarter of the price of the Wolf & Badger polyester/viscose dress!

The first one is the nicest but at 5ft 2 would if not drown you ? I also think it’s not appropriate for fne occasion, it’s more black tie. But the latter two are definitely no gos

This one? Yes, I like the look of it much more - at least it looks as if it's contemporary. The OP's options, plus several of the others suggested, look dated.
