Please can you recommend a good body moisturiser that I can buy on the high street?

I don't normally bother but I'd like to treat my skin while I'm on holiday.

I don't need anything that promises firming or anti-aging and preferably not too scented.

Just a good quality moisturiser (or oil) that will prevent my skin from getting too dry.

I love things like L'occitane rose body cream but that's too pricey for me at the moment. I'm looking to spend about £10-£20.

I second the vitamin e range in Superdrug - it’s lovely. Also the garnier intensive shea one (in the green bottle) is lovely and really inexpensive which is handy if you’re like me and baste yourself like a Christmas turkey 😂 the red maple sap garnier lotion is also brilliant. Ive picked these up in all sorts of random places - supermarkets, boots, Superdrug but also home bargs and b and m and places like that.

I like Aveeno, simple not scented and I don't find it too greasy

I really like Soap & Glory's The Righteous Body Butter. It leaves a slight sheen on my legs but isn't greasy, just makes my skin look better.

Thanks @Tortephant I've had this (and the gold shimmer one) on my wish list for a while. Not sure if 30mls is enough for my holiday though and 100mls is £££. I'm pleased you've recommended it. I might treat myself at xmas.

Gah! @TheOccupier I was in Superdrug recently. Can't order it online anymore so I'll pick one up the next time I'm shopping in real life.

I've stuck a bottle of the Garnier Shea in my Sainsbury's basket @FlashHeartFly. It's half price at the moment. The internet tells me there's also an aloe vera one and a mango one.

I can't see the red one in any shops I have near me but I shall keep a look out.

Is there a specific on you recommend @OhFeyreDarling?

There's a blue one and a green one. And a couple of oils too.

I love a leg sheen @whattodoforthebest2! What's the scent like? I find some of S&G stuff quite heavily scented.

I’ve just taken this away with me and it’s really lovely. More than just an after sun cream in my opinion.

Vaseline Intensive Care Mature Skin Rejuvenation Body Lotion 400 ml | Superdrug

The best one I have ever found is the Mixa urea and centella body lotion and body cream!
The lotion is £3.99 and the cream is £4.99 , both from Savers.
I can get terrible dry skin that flakes like dandruff on my lower legs and from using this on damp skin after every shower, my legs and arms are now soft and smooth as a baby's bum😀!

Child's Farm body moisturiser - meant for babies, even newborns, so very mild, soothing but does the job. Very light pleasant fragrance, and less than half your budget in mainstream supermarkets. I love it, am stockpiling as sometimes things i love get discontinued. I've used nothing else all year and my quite dry skin is very happy.

I’ve used Superdrug Intensive Vitamin E body moisturiser for many years. Very happy with it.

I use Nala's Baby, so good!!

I've been using the Lidl one with Urea.
Chip as chips but really good.

I was also going to recommend the Mixa cica/urea cream. They sell it in Superdrug too. Very moisturising and I like the smell.

Neutrogena deep moisture hypoallergenic body lotion. Around £5 for 400ml
Soaks in nicely, not greasy. I use after my nighly shower & my skin feels lovely & soft in the morning.
If I want a slightly scented one I use Nivea coconut & monoi oil body lotion. Again soaks in nicely. Prices vary £4 - £6 for 400ml.

Child’s Farm are great. I like the Oatderma one, I find it better for dry skin.

I like the Garnier 24hour one but I have Sainsbury’s own at the moment and it smells nice, not too cloying which some can be and nice and cheap! Skin feels soft and not tight and it doesn’t take forever to absorb.

I’m mad on cerave at the moment- cheap, non scented and really good. The standard rich moisture one is fine for face as well as body. The SA one has got rid of my kp strawberry dots on arms and legs and makes them feel amazing.

Korres! A fraction of the price in TK Maxx (£4.99) and a huge range of scents and matching shower gels too. I always ignore Korres calling me from Greek pharmacies on holiday as I know I can get it in Tk’s so cheaply. The yoghurt and guava are my two favourite summer scents along with Lemon Basil and pistachio. In winter I love vanilla cinnamon. Or they often have the olive unscented range as well for dry or sensitive skin.
