Do I just have ultra snowflake delicate feet?

Or are all the people wearing the beautiful looking but razor sharp / flat as a pancake / rough edged sandals writhing in pain inside?

WHO BUYS AND WEARS THESE AND HOW? They look gorgeous but I know they are going to shred the skin off my toes/heels, they’re going to make me limp with damp and bloody digits, I will think of nothing other than the pain in my feel all day and eventually give up and cry and throw them away feeling like a feet failure.

I’d love there to be a secret method to wearing the strappy / glittery / pretty and delicate sandals that I just need to learn. Or do I need to just live with pain for beauty (I won’t)? Or are my feet just wrong somehow?

Everything apart from Vans give me blisters. I bought some Pavers sandals for holiday and they are comfy but I still got awful blisters. I just make sure that I have a variety of shoes that blister different parts of my feet.

Sympathy and solidarity re the blosters on the soles. I get those too, but usually only from Birky knock offs!

I’m going to try the Teva hurricanes next - they look a bit more squishy!

I could wear sky high heels etc when I was younger and was cabin crew for many years and my feet never hurt. Now they blister when I look at a strap!!!!

They're more expensive but they do look comfortable

I can't even wear flip-flops, every holiday I have to buy compede as I get through my stash so quickly. (I digress but Compede isn't a thing in NYC resulting in much googling in the pharmacy as they had no idea what i was yapping about 😆).

I tend to stick to sketchers trainers all year round!

Sadly I don't think it does. I grew up in Oz and we generally ran about barefoot. I have horny, thick skin on my goblin like hooves.

And yet I still can't wear anything strappy.

Here is what I have learned from my years of having feet.
Expensive shoes tend to be worth it. The leather is soft and doesn’t cut into your feet.
Weighing as little as possible helps. I don’t mean underweight but the less weight you are carrying, the less pressure on your feet.
Pregnancy ruins everything 😭 my feet started hurting before I’d gained a pound then by the end of the pregnancy my feet had totally changed shape and none of my lovely shoes fit me any more.
Compeed are the GOAT of blister plasters and you need to stick them on BEFORE anything starts hurting or rubbing.
I wear trainers or FitFlops now 😭

i agree! But now rhey are selling flip flop things with heels! How? My feet would be sliced in half.

I suppose the positive side is, I don't have horrible alligator skin, and cracked heels like so.many folk my age
