Too old for these? I’m 62 btw - I’ve never embraced the trainers with dresses vibe as prefer sandals, pointy flats or boots depending on season so these would be worn with jeans or shorts

It's absolutely nothing to do with your age. I'm 67. I wouldn't wear them but I wouldn't wear any trainers, especially white trainers because I don't like trainers not because I'm too old for them. They don't look any worse than any other trainers I've seen on here.

However if you have to ask on here whether you should keep any item, then the answer is always No. You should love your clothes.

Really? Why is "too nursery school teacher/too art teacher/ too artist/too architect/too geography teacher/too music teacher" or "too any other profession who might possibly wear something a teeny bit out of the ordinary" a valid objection to wearing anything?

You are not too old for anything! I think the trainers could be a nicer, cooler style, and the laces are absolutely not for me, but if you like them, then wear them and rock them!

They’re not something I would wear as I agree with PP, they’re giving “I’m mad, me” vibes.

However, I would say the same if you were 18 so 🤷‍♀️

Age doesn’t really come into it but I personally think they’re a bit dated and really not keen on the rainbow laces, sorry. It’s a nay from me. I’ve seen you around on S&B a lot and usually agree with all your posts and suggestions but these don’t really seem like you.

With clothes I’m not sure about I hang them on the wardrobe door and if I’m not itching to find a reason to wear within a week then they are also a no
I don’t wear trainers much anyway I’m a pointy toe flats or sandals in summer and live in boots all winter

Just put some normal laces in them

I am 50 and have worn Stan Smiths for years they are my go to white trainer. Not with rainbow laces though they look clown like, sorry!
