Just that really. I get advertised them a lot, but wondering if any of them are any good?

Yes and my DH does too. Have used two brands, essence and cant remember name of second one. Both lovely. Cant justify prices of perfume/aftershave any more

I use Eden perfumes because they are vegan. The one I use is near enough to Allure for me.

Another one for Eden, because my favourites were discontinued (Boudoir and Decadence, if anyone’s interested - both smell pretty similar).

managingexpectations · 19/07/2026 00:17

Notes aromas gave great dupes. I agree they don’t last as well but I don’t mind reapplying a £20 perfume once throughout the day.
the noted aromas dupes are the best match I’ve found to the originals

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 19/07/2026 00:22

I use Jenni Glow dupes and they have always lasted .

I did try dupes from a dubai perfume store but they didnt last an hour!

I use a Perfume Parlour dupe of a discontinued Gucci perfume and it’s pretty good. I also have the Lidl dupe of La Vie Est Belle, which is nice but doesn’t have anything like the longevity of the original.

As a PP said, I’ve gone back to older perfume - my daily at the moment is Anais Anais, which I love and don’t smell on many other people.

SaraCrewe06 · 19/07/2026 09:19

I use and love Essence Vault dupes.
I’m currently using the dupe of Jo Malone’s English Pear and Freesia. I’ve had loads of compliments and its longevity is amazing.

I was in Torremolinis earlier this summer and discovered the most fab 'dupe' perfume shop ever! I told the assistant that I had long been trying to replicate my all time favourite perfume (the original 'Narcisso' in the white cube bottle). She called up all of the narcisso perfumes and scrolled through until we got to mine then she found the 'dupe'. It's amazing, absolutely identical (I have an old bottle of the original that I sniff from time to time 😀) and cost around €20 (can't remember the exact price).

i find verset perfumes to be pretty good, personally find the smell lasts longer. I’ve had several compliments. I recommend Luz Adriana :)

I had this !

I am looking for a Tom Ford Lost Cherry dupe. I have the original for a treat, I want an everyday version. I normally look for perfumes that are less popular. I love this one.

@PhoebeBuffay1234 I will look at Essence Vault.

I have the Zara one, the 30ml bottle doesn't last very long.

I think Super Drug Artiscent Atelier Cherry Noir looks okay.

M&S dupe Sparkle and Shine is in their seasonal range. I hope I can get some in autumn.

AuntieBiotics · 19/07/2026 10:07

Zara perfumes are very good and excellent value. I don't care about them being "dupes" or not though.

FoxRedPuppy · 19/07/2026 10:08

Thanks, this is helpful.

DP is looking for a Sauvage one. He’s had the original a while, resisting paying for it again. I love the way he smells so want him to continue 😂.

And for my own perfume! Might get some small ones from Essence and Notes to try.

Add that I am hate choosing new perfume, I find it overwhelming. I tend to find one I like and then stick to it for a decade or more 😂

Valley of Roses do very good dupes - valleyofroses.ie
As do Essence Vault, Verset, Milton Lloyd and Perfume Parlour.
JennyGlow too do very good dupes - their Tom Ford Neroli dupe is gorgeous.
The main company of JennyGlow is MakesSense - they also have a brand called Just Jack which does the Tom Ford dupe of Neroli too and is equally lovely.

To save money, assuming this is the reason you’re considering, I buy decants of the original. Albeit smaller volume but cheaper and I don’t get bored so can rotate

Our local pharmacy stock verset and often have free samples to try as well. 😃 recommend giving them a try

Where do you get your decants from @LeavingAtLast ?

LBFseBrom · 20/07/2026 09:21

"I get advertised them a lot". What does that mean, why are you advertised?

MyDogClive · 20/07/2026 09:54

Those saying the scents don’t last, perfume parlour do roll on oils, which last longer. I use them in combination with sprays and highly recommend.

Their Sauvage is a good dupe too.

Anjelika · 20/07/2026 13:06

I use nothing but dupes these days and have bought them for DH, DS and DD too. Have bought several online - Perfume Parlour, Divain & Essence Vault - and all have been good. DD loves the J'Adore dupe at Lidl. Also if there's a Beauty Outlet shop near you, they do loads of dupes very cheaply.

Perfume Parlour do a Lost Cherry dupe which is good - all their Tom Ford dupes are pretty spot on to be fair.

I second Perfume Parlour. Their dupe is called Astray Fruit.

TheGander · 20/07/2026 14:13

I have used Noted Aromas for my DS , a dupe of Creed’s Green Irish Tweed. It’s not bad, but not as good as the original ( which costs too much).

60degreecycle · 20/07/2026 14:14

I've tried Perfume Parlour, and a couple of the Le Labo dupes that were in Aldi. They're all fine, if you're happy with something in the same family, rather than identical.

Cantwaitforwinter · 20/07/2026 14:17

I’ve yet to find a perfume that actually lasts a decent amount of time. I have a mixture of dupes from The Essence Vault & The genuine versions of the dupes, they smell identical in my opinion but neither last more than 2 hours if that.

M&S ones smell really nice, they’re cheap and their bottles are beautiful but again they just don’t last.

OttersOnAPlane · 20/07/2026 14:20

I got the "6 for £34" from Essence Vault at Christmas so DD could try a number of perfumes she fancied over several months. When she decided on her favourite, she got that (genuine) one for her birthday.

She found the dupes weren't as long lasting as the real deal, but fine for a night out. She enjoyed having a range to play around with while deciding on her signature scent.
