Ive got mild rosacea which im sure doesnt help. But my skin texture sucks. Very porey and doesnt look smooth. What can I do? Ive tried lactic acid, doesnt seem to make a blind bit of difference

I have good skin but it looks almost glass like now not just with genetics but what I use and do. It’s made a huge difference, a few years ago it looked dry, dull and lined.

i drink 3 litres of water a day, and only drink alcohol every couple of weeks,
I use Elizabeth Arden water cream retinonl, hyralonic acid, a nad + serum and ceramide moisturiser, morning and night.

i then use Victoria Beckham the drops foundation.

skin appearance starts from within. So a good healthy clean diet, fully hydrated, minimal booze, and don’t use harsh chemicals until you’ve thay sorted, you will see your skin clear and plump up , just make sure it’s fully cleansed each morning and night, and a decent gently moisturiser. It should improve over all , then when you see where you are, you can decide if you need something tougher.

if you’ve already got that sorted, then some of the suggestions on here. But if you don’t and don’t get it sorted no cream in the world will fix it for you.

Hi OP. You can try:
-Niacinamide 4-5% = reduces inflammation & strengthens barrier without irritation,
-Azelaic acid at 10-15% =helps with both redness/texture over time
-Focus hard on barrier repair = ceramides/panthenol.

Give it 8-12 wks before deciding if it's working. Always remember to patch test first. Hope this helps!

I have mild rosacea and had bumpy skin for years. For me using retinal has made a huge difference. My skin is now smooth and I use a moisturiser with calming ingredients which I think helps with the redness as well as reducing the risk of a reaction from the retinal as I have sensitive skin. I use Tropic Youth Potion Advanced which is brilliant but I’m sure plenty high street brands offer good retinal as well. Hope you find what works for you.

I have large pores and my skin is not like glass. I think it’s largely genetic but I have tried a million things over the years.
I had quite bad rosacea and bought soolantra online which cleared it up in a week. It’s really helpful if the rosacea is caused by demodex and as I had acne rosacea I deduced it was likely caused by demodex. Maybe I was right as Soolantra worked.
I’ve used retinol for 20 years. I have also had a course of professional micro needling which id like again but it’s quite dear
I did try dermatica but it broke me out so I’m weighing up having spots over having youthful skin.
I drink quite a bit of water and I don’t eat a huge amount of processed food. I’m trying to cut my sugar intake down a bit too.

I also use the benefit pore primer under make up which disguises the pores a bit

I’ve started using Anua Azelaic acid and it’s been a game changer. My skin is clear and glowing. Literally the best product I have ever used!
