Looking for simple classic clothing that’s not made of plastic, does not have mutton sleeves, is not mini, is not sleeveless, does not have a ghastly pattern, is not black, is not white.

anybody else fed up with the current trends?

Yes! I hate the current colours in shops. Khaki and shitty brown. Great! I want reds and blues but don't see them anywhere.

And I spend my life checking labels with teeny tiny font only to find the "breathable fabric" label on the front actually means 51% viscose 49% nylon or something equally sweaty.

I recently did get some big maxi dresses. They have elasticated big balloon sleeves but I have a sensory issue with elasticated things on my arms so I cut the elastic and they are so much nicer!

No, not at all, quite the opposite. I don’t remember the last time I bought something with plastic. I’m trying to buy as few items as possible this year (ideally nothing but I’m failing) and I prefer classic shapes. I find clothes I want everywhere 😅 it’s very hard to resist the temptation.

Some suggestions: Community Clothing, Rapanui, Finisterre, Toast, Earth Wardrobe, Roake, Seasalt, Law, Carrier Company, Love and Squalor, Oska, Colourful Standard

Everything I have bought is either linen or cotton. Poetry jeans, Seasalt dresses, Arket dress, linen trousers me and em a beautiful Sahara coat layer and some Talbot's linen trousers. Nothing current season tho, I don't shop trends

I don’t buy much in man made fabrics and avoid patterns. I don’t find it that hard to find clothes that I like, but do buy from a relatively small range of shops that I know focus on natural fibres.

This year I have bought clothes from: Poetry (especially gorgeous cashmere and silk), Boden (the less loud stuff- got a lovely blue linen dress and nice vest tops), Me and Em (especially more tailored stuff and their cheesecloth), Wrap (blue linen vest top), John Lewis (lovely silk/merino cream vest) and Hush (a white cotton skirt - there are other colours- and beach dress). Uniqlo is also very good for basics.

Most of my clothes are from Seasalt, M&S, and Celtic & Co. All of them are made of natural fibres. It is not hard to find non plastic clothing.
