Interview outfit ideas needed

Hi all- looking for senior leader interview outfit ideas that work a) with big boobs and b) in a heatwave.

I’m 5’7, bottom half size 12, top half 16-18 and feel huge in blazers. I have been WFH the last few years but now have an in-person interview and just feel a bit at a loss as to how to present myself!

Do you want to use things you currently own. You could get some good good ideas on possibilities looking at Judi Prue's info. She is a plus size image consultant and for colours and style she is a great person for ideas. I don't think you will need a blazer especially at the moment due to extending heatwave. I wonder what suggestions some people have. I look forward. Personally I see nothing wrong in a t-shirt and smart trousers.

Is your work fantastically formal? If not I might start with some trousers like these:

And then add a shirt / top from the same source that hits the required level of relaxed authority. I doubt anyone will expect a blazer in a heat wave.

Our trousers are shaped with inverted box pleats at the waist, falling to sweeping wide legs for a considered silhouette. Available in Slate.

Isn’t the OP likely to need any dress altered since there’s a disparity between her top and lower halves size wise?

Raccoonsmacaroons · 05/07/2026 18:31

Yeah, I struggle to get dresses to fit unless there’s a lot of stretch in the top half. And don’t want to look too busty!

To answer some other questions: it’s a new workplace so I’m not sure of dress code- I suspect day to day it would be fairly casual but for interview I’d rather err on the side of formal.

I have a black jumpsuit that could work with something more formal over it, or a pair of olive wide leg trousers I always feel good in… it’s really the giant boobs (36HH) that I find hard to dress!

(ps that m&s dress is lovely though)

Will look up Judi Prue, thanks.

Would the black jumpsuit be ok on its own with some statement jewellery? Jumpsuits get. Lot of hate on MN but I find them really easy to wear and very comfortable. I frequently deliver keynote presentations in them.

I think jumpsuits are a bit dated and a lot of faff in the loo! I’d steer clear at an interview.

Yes, it’s difficult being larger on the bust than the hips. Dresses that have natural gathers like the m&S one work because they balance out the look. I quite like longer length tunic tops with trousers as that combo elongates your shape. Big boobs are very difficult when you are top heavy.
