Best shampoo, conditioner and hair masks for swimmers' hair?

I'm looking for recommendations for the best shampoo and conditioner for removing chlorine, and hair masks for protecting hair while swimming.
I've had a look online and there are a lot to choose from, so it would be lovely to hear from people who have actually used them 😃

I use Paul Mitchell number2 I think it is clarifying shampoo. Condition with a normal conditioner. It seems to work although I always find swimming dries my hair out even with wearing a cap.

I run a few drops of argan oil in before putting my swimming cap on, and then use an argan oil shampoo and conditioner in the shower, and then a leave in conditioner before blow-drying.

It’s taken a while but it has sorted out the dry hair from the chlorine.

I saw a reel on Instagram that I thought I’d try. I’m a regular swimmer and always plagued by ‘eau de chlorine’.

Get some sodium ascorbate powder. Put a teaspoon’s worth in an empty sports bottle before your swim. After your swim, fill up the bottle with water from the shower, shake it a bit to make sure the powder has dissolved, and douse yourself in it: rub it into hair and skin. Just be careful of your eyes/face. Rinse off. Then use regular shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc.

It works! The sodium ascorbate binds to chlorine and neutralises it, and you can then use your regular products. I was so surprised, but it does work. I’ve been doing it for a few
weeks now and have noticed I don’t have that lingering chlorine smell any more. Before, once I started to sweat I could always get a whiff of chlorine on me, and given the recent hot weather I’ve sweated a lot, but no chlorine smell! I didn’t do my rinse after a recent swim with my DD and could quickly tell the difference: I got whiffs of chlorine periodically, and then when I got in the shower could really smell it as the pores opened. So that really suggests to me that the rinse is the difference.

I think it’s worth a go versus £££ on specialist products. I got a 1kg bag on Amazon for £16.99 and it’ll last for ages.
