Zara Quality

Has anyone else noticed that Zara quality is consistently getting worse? I have just received an online order and I can only describe it as shocking! Threads pulled, loose threads on the seams of trousers etc. I think Primark offer a more premium product.

We don't have a Zara store near where I live, so online is my only option. But I think my days of Zara purchases are over!

Yes, definitely, poor quality and prices were increased a lot recently. I don't think it's worth the money.

I do sometimes wonder if Zara picks their worst factories for stock intended for the UK.

I love their styling but buy an actual item about once a year - and never expect it to last more than a few months. I try not to go into any store because the general quality is always shockingly awful. But I’ve bought dresses in European branches that compare well with things I own that might have cost five times as much.

@abitbloodybrighteroverthere I am in Ireland, and the quality they sent here is very poor. They must not do any quality control checks before dispatching as far as I can see.

I’m in spain and often shop in zara. The quality is fine on the whole. Zara home is even better - most of the contents of my house come from there as the range is brilliant.

I often wonder this as I’m also in Spain and find it to be really good quality. Currently wearing head to toe Zara including silk and cotton poplin and nice thick denim. But you do see threads on here (presumably uk based) complaining of the quality

I’m always envious of Zara shoppers in Spain! It doesn’t seem fair.

And as for the Home stuff! I await my lottery win so I may one day be able to contemplate the best pieces …

Interesting the quality in Spain is good. Makes you wonder do they ship the seconds to the UK and Ireland?
Also, although we pay in Euros in Ireland, the price is actually more expensive. For example, if I bought a top that is €29.99 on their website and thats what I have to pay, yet when the item arrives, the price on the tag could be €24.99, I presume that is the Spanish price, even though it's all Euros. I don't mind paying the price difference but not for inferior quality items. It's not good enough Zara..

I think I must be the exception to the rule as I actually find Zara much better quality then the H&M equivalent.
I always buy cotton, linen, ramie, hemp & generally find these items reasonable quality. I never buy knitwear.
I have noticed some pure cotton t shirts getting incredibly thin but that's about it.
I agree that Zara Home in Mallorca is great. I wanted to buy everything in the shop. I managed to buy some traditional pure cotton nighties in plain white & broderie for my 86 year old Mum. She was thrilled as the only ones available in the UK are in pretty horrible prints.
