Office styling tips for brown trousers when carrying weight on stomach

Id like to wear similar to this to the office and looking for some decent brown trousers. My legs are decent, stomach is bigger. Size 18. Should I go flared? If so, I cant really wear heels due to plantar.

Current linen ones have shrunk in length. My weight is on my stomach so I want to work out how I can style this without looking big all over. Any tips?

Order a selection from Marks and Spencers - their returns service is easy and free.
Order a few different sizes and styles.and have a little trying on party at home.
You could order some blouses too.

Definitely make sure the trousers are long enough. I think “ankle flappers” always make you (one) look bigger. Slightly too long is much better than slightly too short imo.

Also try mid- or high- rise designs so when you tuck in, you’re emphasising a narrower waist rather than a lower cut where the line between trouser and top is not the narrowest part of the body iyswim.

where was your photo from in the op btw? I really like the yellow shirt.

I find high waisted trousers make the stomach look bigger. Someone is playing a terrible joke on women with all this tucking in. Flattering on no-one except the genuinely very slim.

I carry my weight in my stomach and never tuck in; why do you want to style the top that way?
