Best hairdryer for long, thick hair

Stylish ones,

I need your help.

I am in need of a new hairdryer and would love to cut down on the time it takes to dry my hair.

My hair is long, very thick and if left to dry naturally I resemble Monica in that episode of Friends where they go on holiday to the Carribean!

I'm willing to spend a decent chunk of money on something that will genuinely save me time, but I don't want to be disappointed. I've had a GHD hairdryer before and wasn't that impressed, currently using a Panasonic one. Are the Shark or Dyson ones worth the money? Would love to get some reviews and recommendations from others who have long, thick hair 🙂

Not had any problems with my Dyson (over 3 years). I do make sure I regularly clean the filter though (it’s really easy and takes 2 mins) so not sure if that’s a factor.

I have thick hair, it’s just above shoulder length at the moment but was long up until a couple of years ago and my 7 years old Dyson dries it pretty quickly.

I also have a Dyson Airstrait, that takes longer but supposedly does away with the need for straighteners, I find my hair always tends to look a bit fluffy after a few hours though so I don’t use the Airstrait very often (and if I do it’s just because I feel I should use it considering how much it cost).

It’s not a normal hairdryer but I would really recommend the tymo air thingy. I am stunned at how quickly it drys, straightens and shapes my long and very thick hair. I can’t get the same results with a hairdryer, a Babylis big hair and a pair of ghds. It’s so quick. The work of 50 mins in 20.
