My DH's step sister is getting married and originally we'd be going to just the evening reception, but now we are going all day. I found out today and it is a week on Saturday.
I have only ever been to day wedding events as a) the bride and b) a bridesmaid
I dont have a clue what to wear.
I'm not feeling in best of conditions, I've been poorly since Christmas and changes in medication has left me with an extra stone & half, so am a 18/20 at the min so no short-n-sexy-stealing-attention-from-the-bride type outfit, thanks!

what did you plan to wear to the evening do?
it may be ok to wear the same

I was kind of torn between a dress I got from Wallis, its black with a silver pattern, and crosses over at the top, but not a wrap dress if you see what I mean. Cant find it on the site though!
Or I have a black dress, similar to this www.wallis-fashion.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=false&catal ogId=20551&storeId=12557&categoryId=122405&parentcategoryrn=45265&productId=634471&langId=-1

Pretty florals are very in and if you get a nice dress/skirt and top you can wrap a nice pashmina type shawl round your shoulders for the evening.

long or knee length? I can see some long ones on the Wallis website, but not sure whether they suit a fuller figure?

Got D/DD size norks.
Waist is okay, no matter how much my arse expands, I do still go in at the waist!

colours, I am not good in white, am quite pale. Purples/pinks/blues/greens are good.

Oh, I have a tonne of shoes

I prefer the first dress to the second, that looks like it could be clingy, not my best friend at the minute!

If the budget allows, Coast do beautiful stuff like that dress. Matching bags, shoes etc. all there too. "It IS a family wedding Darling, I want to look nice!"
