Am thinking of having one just before my hols but am scared of going orange! Has anyone had one and do you just stand there in your knickers? Not sure if I dare. I do not want to look like I've been tangoed, just want a nice colour!

I had a spray tan on Saturday. You can strip down as far as you like, I kept my thong on and tucked my bra straps in. They will usually decide the shade depending on your skin colour, and how well you tan. I tan easily, and had two coats IYSWIM.

Make sure you have it done the day before you go, wash it off the next day, when you'll look much less orange, and you don't want to smell weird on the plane. Wear something loose and preferably old (it'll get stained) to go home in.

I've never perfected the art of self-tanning, so this is the only way forward for me.

I had one before going on holiday in Feb
It was great

Fantasy tan I think

They gave me some vile paper knickers and yes you just stand there and they spray you like a car!

Agree get it done the day before and don't plan to do anything where anyone will have to see you!

I had the st tropez spray tan on Thursday and when i washed it off on friday it was rather patchy, great on legs and tummy, not good on feet, didnt seem to take on arms and chest ,face ok, i wouldnt get one done again and it did leave me with strap marks from where i had a bit of a tan anyway.
However my friend had one also and she wasnt patchy and had a lovely colour-grrr(my wedding too)! Probably has a lot to do with how well you colour natuarally in the sun- i am a red head with fair skin so burn easily.
Dont worry about being embarrassed they have seen it all before .
St tropez didnt look orange on me or my friend it was a nice colour(before it washed off!)
HTH!

I had a spray tan once, stood there in paper knicks like Countess Drac. It helps to wear clear nail varnish to stop your nails going orangey.

Thanks everyone!
Am thinking of going ahead, just didn't want it to go all patchy while I was away. I normally tan quite easily so hopefully will be ok. Am off to Florida so not a beach holiday, but want to come back looking gorgeous!
