Please help - big boobs but hate bras, is there an alternative?

Misha1998 · 19/06/2026 17:36

I have fairly big boobs (was a 32F pre kids no idea what it is now with 3 little kids and years of breastfeeding! not perky anymore either super soft instead). Not sure what my actual size is now.

Ive always hated wearing a bra, could get away without wearing one pre kids and I was ok. now I feel far too self conscious to do this, but if I wear a crop top style top it is so unflattering - uniboob, boobs crushed into each other, weird shape, makes my whole upper body look a bit "off" etc. etc.I also hate the look of my boobs shoved together and up to show off a cleavage I tend to be quite self-conscious

what I want to know is does anyone else feel like this and have a solution? is there some sort of option for support to stop them jiggling everywhere but some shape too so they dont look so odd? ive looked at 'bralette' brands but they all are for smaller sizes.

I would first of all get yourself measured properly. If you really can't bear the thought of that, there are pretty thorough instructions online if you Google it. Might be helpful to rope in your partner or a close friend!

I'm a 36F & have found a non-wired M&S style that I like. But it was the only one out of about six supposedly similar styles that fitted well & suited me! So I bought three ... two black & a nude! I would advise trying on lots, once you know your size.

This is the style I went for. Supportive & separates without hoisting your boobs up into a shelf!

Also bought three of these after looking for a comfy bra. I don't like wearing bras either but these are fantastic, and so comfy. Highly recommend.

Another vote for Molke originals.

I’m 32G and replaced all my bras with Molke back in 2021 and haven’t worn anything else since.

LadyCurd · 20/06/2026 08:35

I HATE molke- bought one after loads of recommendations and they drive me to distraction. So many unnecessary seams. Horrible.

freedom bras are now the only bra I can wear but annoyingly discontinued. I had a breast reduction at 19 and best thing I ever did. Still super sensory around bras but easier to find ones in my size now

Glad it’s not just me - and so much fabric it made my boobs very hot and sweaty.

More drastic, but a breast reduction. Worth every penny.

Unfortunately mine grew back :(

Crucible · 20/06/2026 09:34

Can recommend Boody. Racerback style is good for the larger boob. Excellent customer service and they wash well.

AlwaysAFaithful · 20/06/2026 09:40

And another vote for Molke. I’m a 32g and I buy their original bra.

they have really good instructions on how to measure yourself so follow those closely. they often have offers - especially on some of their more outlandish patterns 😀

Ophy83 · 20/06/2026 11:15

Molke clearly divides the crowd - I find them too much/claustrophobic.

Boody does some good options for low activity days.

I'm going to give the m&s one a go!

veryoldwoman · 20/06/2026 11:33

I had to return my molke as they gave no support at all- looked hideous.. I am a J cup though

SlightFerret · 20/06/2026 12:26

As someone else has mentioned, it's a small back size which is often the issue with finding styles to fit. Often larger cup bras start at 34.

Endorse this one - 36G

I just bought a pack of three Comfyin wireless bras from Amazon. I’m a 36F, ordered the XL. They fit perfectly and are incredibly comfortable. £15!

I bought these too and love them.

I can wear mine for basic exercise as well as day to day
I love the look though !

I'm a 30 E and like Lemonade Dolls.

ElviraZoffany · 20/06/2026 15:14

I’ve just received a few to try from Celeste d’Or, so I’ll report back! (36F)

ExquisiteDressing · 20/06/2026 15:21

Another Molke hater here, the worst bra I have ever owned. Had to wrestle it on and off, horrible thick straps, weird wonky feeling where they cross over at the front, I always felt lopsided in it. Gave a really unflattering outline under clothes too.

I’m a convert to Body&Bra, they do a few styles and are super soft and comfy as well as supportive. But I am 36E, might not be so good with smaller back size.

EducatingEater · 20/06/2026 15:43

I would definitely enter your measurements here https://www.abrathatfits.org/calculator and see what it comes up with and Google for a few others and see if they are in agreement if you don't want to ask a store. It would give you an idea where to go from.

I struggle hugely with bras myself too as my breasts are excessively dense and heavy so they drag down constantly whatever I wear so the comfort bra types (including snag and molke in those) are a no before I even try. I've event tried the snag "proper" bras with fastenings and yes, the material is comfortable but the weight of each breast has then down by my belly button in an hour or so so be aware of exactly what you're after and the "sister" sizes incase they help.

When large chested, especially if they are voluminous, I'd avoid the comfort bra type or those with the same sort of material as mentioned above. Those tiktok adverts where they're sticking water bottles and air fryers in them and claiming they give support annoy me because yes, they might for 5 minutes to film an episode but they'll be at your knees by lunch.

I say try a few because in personal experience there's also a huge difference in the measurements underneath and above my own breasts compared to around them so I essentially get 'sorry. Can't help' or incredibly wrong answers that have only taken the underneath measurement into account

Way too strappy.

Have a look at Molke .

Came to say this!

Also Boody.

Way too strappy.

Do you mean the straps are too thin? Or too wide??

I'm a 36GG and saving up for a reduction....feel exactly the same as you op!

athomewithcats2 · 20/06/2026 18:13

Honestly, a properly fitted bra is your best bet. I am similar size to you and started wearing bralettes for a while from M& S (they do them up to H cup), but then found I was suffering from back ache. I switched back to underwired and the ache has gone, but you do need the right size.

Soupdragon41 · 20/06/2026 18:22

Molke and snag are my go to, both really comfortable with no wires

Sparrowsandbudgies · 20/06/2026 18:26

I’m a 36G and until fairly recently I swore I would never wear a “proper” bra again, I was wearing non wired m and s bralettes and crop tops from George at Asda etc. Then I started to feel that they actually weren’t doing my posture or back any favours and with the hot weather I felt they weren’t lifting things enough so that I ended up with a hot sweaty underboob all the time. I ordered some bras from Brastop and yes initially they felt a bit weird compared to my old ones but they are actually so much better in terms of my back, how my clothes look and the comfort of having things lifted where they’re meant to be. My favourite ones are Fantasie Illusion and Panache Tango. They have thicker straps which also help make them more comfortable.

Molke doesn’t work for me because I have mobility issues and can’t manage pulling them up or over.

If I had endless funds and was sure it would be safe and successful I would absolutely have a breast reduction. Can’t stand the bloody things.
