Any opinions on Laura Geller make up?

I'm getting loads of adverts on Facebook and TikTok for Laura Geller cosmetics.

Even at my advanced age, I am new to make up, so just getting started, and don't want to make an expensive mistake if it's no good.

I saw one TT advert where the woman had a palette and showed how to do a 5 minute face. Realistically this will take me at least four times as long, but she did make it look easy, and I hope with practice, I could produce something that doesn't make me look like a drag queen.

Shamelessly bumping and following as I’d like to know this too.

Boyandgirlanddone · 17/06/2026 13:41

I fell for the instagram adds and I don't really like it. All of the cases have broken, even though they've never even left my dressing table. The highlighter is impossible to see when it's on but the blush goes on like a clown. The magic balm looks nice when you first put it on, but I can't take it anywhere to reapply because of the broken case. It's a no from me.

SalmonOnFinnCrisp · 17/06/2026 13:44

Dont bother.

The foundation is FINE.

Eyeshadow has no colour pay off.
Highlighter and bronzer are sparkle city

Jk987 · 17/06/2026 15:00

I really like the baked foundation powder. Coverage without heaviness. I was using max factor facefinity for years but this is a better, more even coverage, glowy. I hate liquid foundation so this works for me.

GreaterCassowary · 17/06/2026 15:25

I also wondered about this brand. Do the foundations have warm/cool/neutral options? It just looked like they go from light to dark with no consideration for undertone but I need a fair and very warm foundation so this put me off.

wheeltrims · 17/06/2026 15:39

I have the foundation powder and really like it too for the same reasons as above but agree the compacts themselves are crap and always break at the hinge. I even complained but got nowhere.

triggers34 · 17/06/2026 16:20

I’ve bought twice , the foundation powder and a fake bake palate that includes high lighter and bronzer .
Innitially I really liked them however over time the bronzer and foundation are too dry and can’t get on the brush iyswim . The high lighter and blush are fine - I’m not sure about the included eyeshadows as I don’t use them . I did email the company , it was outside the return window but they gave me a small refund - 20% I think . I still use them but have to put water on them to get the colour to stick to the brush .
I wont buy again .

I usually avoid foundation, but their balance and glow baked powder foundation is good...and I have also liked their hydrating blush....light not heavy.

I bought a set' complete with brushes from QVC when they were on a special value deal, far cheaper than going direct.

Mumteedum · 17/06/2026 16:26

I'm quite happy with it. Got a bundle on a deal. It's lasted ages. It needs a good primer and moisturizer as it does feel like my skin doesn't breathe too well with it but it looks nice. It's easy to put on. It's light coverage though.

Suits me age fifty something though.

teacoffeeorpassthegin · 17/06/2026 16:28

I had planned to buy some but then did some searching and there were a lot of people who said it didn’t work. I still always want to buy it when I see it advertised though!

I need a magic wand

Asiana · 17/06/2026 16:32

I have a creamy eyeshadow/blush/lipstick pallet of hers I got in tkmaxx. The colors are meant to blend well together (they do IMO). The quality seems good, stays long and is not flaky.

Ladidahdi · 17/06/2026 16:36

I use her baked foundation and really like it. I’m 41 and have fine lines and pore that liquid foundation just sits in. I find the LG stuff buildable and doesn’t dry my face out. I do use a facial oil and moisturiser so that may be something to do with that as well.
I have a small box of the eye shadows and like them. They’re very neutral.
I got it all on a bundle deal on her website, have rebought the foundation. The hinges on the pallets are shite.

Secretseverywhere · 17/06/2026 16:44

I found it quite drying tbh but looking at other pp they use primers / facial oils do perhaps I needed more of a base to build on. I find a tinted moisuriser/ bb moisturiser and concealer with a cream blush better for me but still a natural look.

MakeMineAMilkyTea · 17/06/2026 17:00

I’ve used it on and off for years. Love it. I’m cool toned and their porcelain shade suits me perfectly with no warmth at all

lindyloo57 · 17/06/2026 17:12

I like it and have brought from qvc many times, but its so much cheaper from laura geller site they often have half price offers, but for some reason for me I can't seem to order directly from them, the site doesn't work , do anyone else have problems is it because its from America are there problems with the post .

I haven't ordered directly from her site, but I do think the TSV's on QVC are well worth waiting for price-wise.
Not just for Laura Geller, but for other brands too.

HurdyGurdy19 · 17/06/2026 18:03

Hmmmm, bit of a mixed bag of responses 😅

I will ponder on it a bit longer, before making a decision.

I never thought of looking on QVC, though, so thank you for that tip 🙂

I love the baked foundations - much better than liquids. Have had no problem with cracking pots.

whiteroseredrose · 17/06/2026 19:09

I got a set and it’s ok. But no better than high street stuff. I’ve stopped using it.

lindyloo57 · 17/06/2026 19:18

I've just ordered it from qvc there's a little discount off the price,

APurpleSquirrel · 17/06/2026 19:43

I’ve got the baked foundation & really like it, much more natural looking than liquid foundation.
Also have one of the palettes. I like the eye shadows but the blush is a bit too dark for me.
Not had any issues with dryness but I tend towards a combination skin type anyway.

APurpleSquirrel · 17/06/2026 19:44

Oh & I got mine from Amazon - cheaper than buying direct when you consider postage & time it takes to get here.

Elieza · 17/06/2026 19:46

qvc is your friend. 60 day no quibble guaranteed. ive returned things before no problem. it’s handy woth makeup as you have to guess your shade.

Bobbieiris · 17/06/2026 19:49

I was disappointed 😞 have gone back to my trusty rimmel foundation and £4 MUA cream blush. A bit too orange for me and the eyeshadow and blush hardly showed on my skin

anomymetoo · 17/06/2026 20:04

Awful
