Menopausal very dry hair - help!

I’m menopausal and my long hair has become so dry. I use Olaplex conditioner (with a bit of brown tint to tone down brassiness in my dyed brown hair) but it doesn’t do enough.
i only wash my hair once a week and use some rosemary oil on the ends at night.
I know that this dryness can happen but I wondered if anyone has any tips for restoring softness.

Stop the rosemary oil on dry hair this will make it brittle !!!!! And it will snap off
I don't rate olaplex either !!
Use redken bonding conditioner instead and use the redken bond leave in treatment if u gunna use oil use on damp or wet hair !
I'm a hairstylist ! Also use a blue shampoo to tone down any brassiness on brown hair wash it 2x a week x

L'Occitane do an Intensive repair shampoo for brittle hair. A previous work colleague swore by it & her hair always looked lovely. I've used other shampoos that they do and they make my hair feel nice.

Faith in Nature do a coconut shampoo for dry hair. Again I've used others in their range and found them good.

Olail rosemary infused shampoo - also do a matching conditioner & scalp oil. Available in Home Bargains. I find the shampoo very moisturising, too much for me for constant use, so currently rotate it between the Faith in Nature ones. My DD used the scalp oil and conditioner & said it was as good as the £20 one she'd been using. She has dry hair from colouring rather than menopausal though.

Three tips:

  1. buy the lush rich (and cheap!) shampoos intended for certain types of ethnic hair - usually easily identifiable as they have a picture of a smiling black lady on them!
  2. add copious amounts of oil to any bog standard conditioner and condition as usual
  3. skip every other shampoo and instead use a light (silicone free) conditioner instead.

note: my hair is likely a lot dryer than yours so this might be too much for your hair

These are really great tips! Thank you xx
Before I go and buy, which blue shampoo (not purple?) do you recommend for very dry hair?

Fanola blue shampoo is the best and if U use the redken bond conditioner and the leave in treatment you will notice a big difference I'm 50 and also going throu menopause I use this on my fine dry hair I also wear a silk bonnet at night I bought them from boots and this has also kept hair from getting dry with friction at night he kinda make my hair feel soft again hope this helps my hair is also the longest it's ever been using these redken products !!! Also treat hair very carefully when wet it's at its most fragile then also the oil is a sealant it's not a moisturiser and it can build up and stop moisture penetrating the hair hope all this helps xxx
