Anyone know where Lady Marina's iridescent dress is from?

Hi, I think this dress is so beautiful, and I'd love to know the brand. The woman is Lady Marina Windsor and she was wearing it at the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling this weekend.

I've done a reverse image search and asked ChatGPT, but no luck. Any of you style mavens know?

Anyone know where Lady Marina's iridescent dress is from?

Maybe she borrowed the dress as it doesn't fit!

Actually she's into sustainable fashion and often rents outfits or borrows from relatives or shops second-hand, so maybe!

It's Lady Marina Windsor, whose grandad is Prince Edward, the late Queen's first cousin. And Prince Edward's mother was Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark. She's a great-great-grand-daughter of George V, as well as grand-daughter of a prince and great-granddaughter of a princess. And she's also related to the late Prince Philip through that great-grandmother. So princes and princesses on both sides of her heritage, as well as being related to the current royals. There are photos of her on the balcony at Buckingham Palace with the rest of the royals at certain events. In other words, she's tres tres posh! I hope we get to see photos of her wedding dress when she gets married June 20th.

I was going to say I thought it came straight out of the 1800s Austria.

No, it doesn't! Not with the iridescent material and the lack of blouse underneath, and no stays! Don't diss my dream dress!!

The listing doesn’t mention the iridescence which is odd. We had iridescent dresses at my sister’s wedding. Shot taffeta.

I love the whole website!! Now hoping I win the lottery this week 😂

What a strange look. It highlights her pretty flat chest but manages to make it look somewhat inappropriate at the same time.

truepenguin · 11/06/2026 09:06

According to Tatler, it was actually another society wedding (not Peter's). It looks better fitted here (plus she has a pashmina for all those offended by squashed boobs)

(I can't see the photo in preview so not sure it will post, but you can google it on Tatler)

I suppose the skirt could be a bridesmaid dress, although you wouldn't normally have iridescent material, but I don't think the top looks like a bridesmaid dress at all. It's also not long enough for a bridesmaid dress.

This has become my dream dress, although it's too expensive for me to ever own, plus it would look silly on me at my age, but just the same, can everyone stop dissing it!!!! 😭😭😭🤣

Have a look at House of CB they do a lot of dresses in this shape

SallySharp · 11/06/2026 10:06

Perhaps she borrowed it at the last minute and thought 'that's near enough'.

RobinEllacotStrike · 11/06/2026 10:16

What beautiful dresses - must feel amazing wearing these.
But not someing to order online - I imagine the fit is very specific.

perlan · 11/06/2026 10:28

I doubt she'd manage a four course wedding breakfast without bursting the seams on that dress.

A good number of guests at the Phillips wedding had hilarious outfits that if anyone asked on S+B about the suitability of them for THEIR guest appearance would have been chased off the stage.

Must be a "posh" thing, as they don't seem to care!

Disney shop?

ouchynose · 11/06/2026 10:37

I think that’s a look at the moment though isn’t it? I’m sure I’ve seen other dresses where it looks (to my eye) too low cut but the idea is to have a bit of boob spilling out. Each to their own!

FeltCarrot · 11/06/2026 10:43

It looks sort of Elizabethan to me but without the sleeves!

Anyone with any decency should realise tits on a shelf isn't a good wedding guest look hopefully.

oliviaAustin · 11/06/2026 11:05

It’s a beautiful dress but I sadly don’t think it suits her. It’s like she’s squeezed into an ill fitting fancy dress outfit.

Very Sound of Music!

Very Sound of Music!

Not for the nuns though and Julie Andrews was far too wholesome

Noshadowsinthedarkness · 11/06/2026 11:38

If you don’t have anything nice to say….

I am genuinely fascinated that someone asking if they can have help finding a dress turned into a pile on of mild insults for a woman nobody has met. Nobody asked?!

Be kind didn’t last long did it.

I think it’s a lovely dress OP and you and the lady in the picture can wear it however you jolly well please.

GetOverTheEgo · 11/06/2026 12:17

I love it. And love the cream version posted upthread also. I think she looks great!

I am a tubby apple-shape.. I'd love to be able to wear a dress like that!

Weeellokthen · 11/06/2026 14:05

Oh my! That is near identical to the dress I had hand made in cream silk taffeta for my grad ball in 1990.
It’s a lovely dress.

wherearethesnacks · 11/06/2026 14:42

Such a bad fit on her chest.

emsyj37 · 11/06/2026 15:35

Just buy some fabric and get a dressmaker to knock you one up (that fits). It wouldn't cost anywhere near the price of the designer version. Fabulous Quality Iridescent Taffeta - MERMAID!!! - Etsy UK

HelenaWilson · 11/06/2026 15:36

Such a bad fit on her chest

I wouldn't want to get too energetic on the dance floor if I was wearing that. It just doesn't look comfortable.

The cream version is lovely, and there's one with beautiful embroidery too.
