Alternatives to Yuko hair straightening

Hello.

Have people found alternatives to Yuko hair straightening which are viable for coloured hair? Im in my mid 40s, have had Yuko done twice a year for the past 2 to 3 years now. While I love the texture and gloss this gives my hair, I feel my hair are thinner now (could be because of Yuko, or just ageing - dont know).

I also have several grey/ white strands now so would like to start dyeing my hair soon, and believe that Yuko isnt advisable for coloured hair. I dont want to do keratin treatments.

What low chemical straightening / deep conditioning treatments would you recommend as an alternative? I dont have time to faff around using irons etc. But can possibly get something done once a month to achieve a similar look.

Thanks!

I know you say you don’t want keratin, but so do last really well. I have k-respect which lasts me 6 months (100 washes) and is okay on coloured hair. I think from reading the keratin based are the main ones available for coloured hair.

@Needanadultgapyear thanks. I have read the most keratin treatments contain formaldehyde and wanted to avoid that. Are there other options that dont involve formaldehyde or other known carcinogenics?

@Hairscaredthe k-respect system (by milkshake) does not include formaldehyde that is one of their selling points this is the brand I have. I have highlights done and it works great for me. I don’t get dead straight hair, but my hair is a very thick with a very tight frizz. People with not as curl hair get dead straight with it.
