Is there such a thing? A moisturiser that makes your face feel like it’s having a drink and not like the driest tightest thing ever?

I find layering products good for this. I use a moisturising “essence” (glycerin toner by another name), a serum with hyaluronic acid, then a ceramide moisturiser. Sometimes I add a drop of facial oil too. Glycerin, HA and ceramides are all good ingredients for a tight face!

You really need a skin care routine for sensitive skin to support and protect the skin barrier. Example as recommended by a dermatologist I follow on YT and don't use hot water on your face.

Cetaphil cleanser
CeraVe moisturising toner
CeraVe moisturising cream
SPF 50 sunscreen daily

I use simple, they have a few flavours and so far I’ve found them all lovely, and my face never feels tight. Soft and hydrated. I think as a result I’ve been going make up free more often now!

over the years I have used them all and all price ranges but I am currently loving Aldi caviar range. It’s lovely and hydrating and bonus, cheap as!

Yes. The Ordinary Moisturiser + phytoglycerides. Makes my eczema prone skin feel great

La roche posay cicplast or cerave moisturisng cream - both simple but repair the skin barrier helping it to retain moisture

The combination that actually resolves it is ceramides alongside glycerin and a fatty acid like linoleic or oleic acid. Look for a formula where ceramide NP or EOP appears in the INCI alongside glycerin and squalane.
