Stylish mother of the bride dress ideas for a warm wedding abroad

Another thread searching for. MOB dress, I’m a young at heart 60 something.
Wedding is abroad so will be hot.
I don’t like the typical MOB outfit (Veni etc) they are too formal for me ( I have more of a boho style)
Preferably midi , with a short or cap sleeve ( wobbly arms 🙈), a wrap style may be good and something that won’t crease as it will e a long day.
Am really struggling to find anything I like, I have seen a couple of Rixo dresses but ideally budget no more that 200-300 , am I asking the impossible !

For DD’s wedding in Rhodes I wore a Gina Bacconi dress, v neck with an attached chiffon “cape” that perfectly concealed my puffy arms. Light fabric, super comfortable. Mine was pre-owned and immediately sold on. I had a small fascinator and bought new Dune sandals.

Have you tried any Rixo dresses on in the flesh, OP? As they do a lot of repeat styles or variations thereof - & there are loads on Vinted/eBay so if you knew the style(s) that suited you ... What size & height are you, & what colours do you like/suit?

No I have only admired them on line.
I am 5.3 and a size 12-14, recently lost 3 stone ( hence the wrinkly upper arms )
I suspect the Rixo dresses may be for tall willowy folk !

I am short , 5.3 very blonde but do tend to go for stronger/ darker colours, pastels make me look washed out 😂

Congratulations on the weight loss! Do some light weights while you're sitting watching TV at night - an ex- boyfriend, who was into his fitness, told me that if you don't have weights just use a couple of baked bean tins!!

They do some dresses in a petite, you know? A limited range, but there are a couple that might suit. I like this one & it's a good bright colour? Almost in budget! Out of stock in both 12 & 14 though, currently ... but you could sign up for notifications?

These Rixo dresses all (theoretically) come in petite. Lots out of stock in 12/14 currently though. Some just a bit over budget, some rather a lot over!

If you like strong greens, OP, this one from Hobbs is rather nice. I'm not the kind who defaults to Hobbs/Phase 8 etc for wedding guest/MOB suggestions. But this has a bit of an Alemais vibe to it. Might be too warm though - it's viscose, which is fine, but has a polyester lining.
