Best long-lasting foundation and setting spray for mature skin in hot weather

I am looking for suggestions for a foundation with great staying power for a summer wedding abroad, it will be a long day and around 35c , so a good setting spray too I imagine.
I have used various brands over the years but am fairly out of touch.
I have mature ( oldy) skin too.

It’s all about the base prep in my opinion! The maybelline grippy primer serum is excellent - then with a setting spray (the L’Oréal infallible one is good- or some trusty hairspray!) you might be better with a tinted moisturiser instead of foundation

Hi OP. Less on “full coverage” & more on long-wear flexible formulas that don’t crack/cling when the skin gets dehydrated throughout the day. I'll suggest Ingredients so you have more options. Look for foundations with "dimethicone and trimethylsiloxysilicate" for durability, plus "glycerin or hyaluronic acid" so the finish still looks skin-like instead of dry. Satin or natural-matte finishes usually wear better in 35°C weather than very dewy formulas. For setting sprays, film-forming polymers like "PVP or acrylates copolymer" help makeup survive humidity and sweat much better. I’d also avoid heavy powdering.

Edited

I have some broken veins so tend to go for a fuller coverage, I think tinted moisturiser may be good for the holiday that will follow the wedding though !

Thank you, that’s really helpful 👍

Foundations with silicones like "dimethicone" tend to wear more smoothly and hold up better in humidity, while "glycerin or hyaluronic acid" can help keep the finish from looking flat. For setting sprays, "PVP or acrylates copolymer" are usually what help makeup actually stay put. I’d also avoid overly alcohol-heavy sprays if your skin is mature or dehydrated.

I find using both primer (I use always an optimist pore defusing primer) and urban decay setting spray works for me. I like dior face and body foundation because it’s thin but highly pigmented so you don’t need loads so less chance of it going cakey. I blot my face after setting spray has dried to just pick up any excess. It seems to work reasonably well in heat.

I’m 54 and have been having great results from D’alba first serum spray - 5 sprays over face to dampen then go in with BPerfect Mrs Glam Glorious Powder Foundation. Don’t be fooled by the powder - if I put it on damp skin it goes on really smoothly, covers well but looks invisible in the skin. Then finish with 5 more sprays of the d’Alba spray to set and remoisturise. Wish I had found this combo years ago.
