How to wash and blow dry hair in 32 degree heat

Hello you lovely people,

Ideally, I need to wash and blow dry my hair tonight but it’s going to be 32 degrees. Any survival tips? Do I just sit in front of the fan and hope for the best?

That's what I do, we're on holiday so last night it was a handheld can propped up.in front of me, at home it's the tower fan right in front of my face.

Hopefully it won’t be 32 degs inside. Let your hair air air dry to begin with and just use the blower for styling it in sections. I have curly hair so I air dry, then straighten when almost dry, then finally curl using a rotating brush. Currently on holiday and it’s working for me.

Put the hairdryer on a cooler setting

Could this be the weather for an up do? After washing and conditioning, apply a nice hair serum or oil and let it air dry and then treat your hair to a bit of rest by putting it up in a nice bun.

I'm a blow dry every day kind of person, until it hits 28, then it's all natural.

There's no point anyway, as soon as I get a bit clammy it all drops out. Same with make up.

Wash it as normal, don't bother blowing drying. Sit in garden and let the sun dry it.

I've suddenly decided this week that my hair looks fine without being blow-dried. It's just too hot. It does have a bit of a curl if I scrunch it after washing.

I feel you. Wash your hair later in the evening if you can, dry about 70–80% first then use clips & dry in sections so you’re not standing there forever overheating. I’d skip heavy oils or rich creams because heat + sweat can make them feel suffocating fast.

I need to do this as well - I will let air dry then lean over and blow dry upside down to get it dry as quickly as possible. Then just smooth it over with a quick dry and use straightener to smooth further. Wish I didn’t have to though!

Let it air dry halfway then big Velcro rollers? Should dry pretty fast on its own with no help from hairdryer. This weather I embrace my inner curls and use a rough copy of the curly girl method, as the thought of hairdryer makes me faint.

Invest in a portable air con unit then stand in front of it whilst quickly blasting your hair with hair dryer. Sounds counter productive but works well. I absolutely cannot air dry my hair as it just looks like a crazy mess!

I decided to skip hair washing last night and used dry shampoo for an extra day 😅 I realised if I wash it tonight, I don’t need to blow dry it as I’m not going anywhere so it can air dry instead. Thanks for all the suggestions though
