Yes.

1989STAR · 22/05/2026 22:57

Too white for a guest

EatingSleeping · 22/05/2026 22:57

It wouldn't have bothered me as a bride but it does look quite bridesmaidy, especially with the corset back

Crunched · 22/05/2026 22:57

It is beautiful! But if you have to ask, the answer is probably yes.

That's what my gut is saying too

If you have to ask you probably know you shouldn’t wear it. It’s an ivory dress. Not suitable for a wedding guest.

LadyGAgain · 22/05/2026 23:12

Not at all!! It doesn’t look anything like. Wedding dress.

Leorag · 22/05/2026 23:13

I think the 1st one is nice. Not too white. The 2nd one is nice but a bit casual for a wedding?

NotTheOrdinary · 22/05/2026 23:14

MN would have you believe just a hint of white is too white, In the real world unless you turn up in a full wedding dress no one would give a toss.

DappledThings · 22/05/2026 23:14

It's only been about 5 days since we had this. Such fun!

It's fine. It has a pattern on it. Perfectly nice apart from looking really difficult to walk in.

ItsOnlyHobnobs · 22/05/2026 23:20

Yes, too white.

It’s not only the bridal aspect, it’s the woman wearing white in a photograph draws the eye towards them, which isn’t appreciated.

FutureMandosWife · 22/05/2026 23:26

It's fine for a wedding guest nothing bridal. However I feel if you need to ask then you think it is.

It really doesn’t. I went back and checked my own wedding photos after the last thread about this nonsense happened. Turns out two of my guests were wearing white. I'd never noticed in person or any time I'd looked at the photos.

It's really ridiculous that anyone thinks a white dress with a red flower pattern on it this one is even vaguely inappropriate.

Overtheatlantic · 23/05/2026 07:27

I think the current generation can’t be bothered with etiquette and respect for others so it doesn’t matter. Wear leggings is their mantra.

Popsicalpop · 23/05/2026 10:50

Thanks for your thoughts, decided it’s not for me as I don’t think I’d feel comfortable in something with that much white, with bits of lace on it too

i might order the peachy flower one to try on as I won’t be in London now for a while

The second one is lovely OP, perfect for a summer wedding!

GrillaMilla · 23/05/2026 18:30

I don't think either are suitable.
The first one is too white.
The second although a lovely dress, is too much like a corset and a bit busty for a wedding.
