Post-baby glow-up ideas for feeling more confident without spending much

Ok my second child has just today started childcare three days a week after a gorgeous year with her on mat leave. I finally have time to look at myself in the mirror and... it's not great ladies 😂Grey hairs, about 3 stone overweight, clothes don't fit properly / have holes, still in maternity bras, and I just look grey and tired.

I have just taken myself off to get a haircut, and wondering what else I can do to give myself a bit of a glow up and start to get some self confidence back again. I don't necessarily need long-term (e.g. I am working on losing weight), but more need things I can do in the short term to make me look and feel good.

For example, make up wise I've just been putting a bit of concealer under my eyes. What make up are we wearing these days? Clothes wise... what pieces can I buy that will suit my body now, without breaking the bank, but also see me through the summer?

Any and all tips welcome...

I hear you! A haircut is a great start.

Go through your wardrobe and chuck out anything that is too scruffy/covered in inexplicable baby stains/irredeemably connected to the daze of early motherhood.

Resurrect a 'nice' handbag (as opposed to baby bag) that you can grab to do to work and not find yourself rooting through endless nappies and toy cars to find your phone.

Find what basic makeup works for you - for me it is eyeliner, mascara and a little blush. Not exactly made up, but 3 mins max and makes me look more alive.

Drink water not just caffeine.

Get some fresh air and open your lungs, head up and look around (baby free). Puts a spring in your step to not be walking at child pace.

Get a new, supportive bra and wear those boobs with pride!

Thanks @SpringHasSprungTheGrassIsRiz love the idea of a bra fitting! And a walk outside is probably a very good idea. I've just dusted off my water bottle and plan to increase my water intake 👌🏼
