Thoughts on this dress for a wedding in June?
its in a reception in a pub / marquee.
Im 5ft 6 and a size 6 for context

Yeh I would get a cropped jacket or pashmina and I don’t burn thankfully

I find that sort of dress annoying because the ‘flesh coloured’ lining bears no relation to the colour of my flesh.

I am 51 and wore this to a party last summer, it is gorgeous and I got a lot of compliments :)

I find people have no idea what’s fashionable on wedding threads. No idea of what type of wedding it is and what works for a size 6! My DD is 30 and a 6 and of course could wear any of those dresses. The Maje dress is interesting and it’s in a pub!!! It’s a dress that would be good enough for the Ritz though. It’s a cool summer pastel and perfect. @TwinkleTwinkleX You really won’t get many people on MN who know about weddings and someone will come along and say Hobbs or Phase 8 and buy a bolero next!

The Sandro dress is best. First is too near white imo.

@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain Not that rubbish about white again! Itx tiresome. It is clearly a nude/blush colour. It’s not remotely bridal. It’s a fun wedding in a pub. It’s not Westminster Abbey!

Are these the blue & green ones? Sandro & Self Portrait? The detail on the blue one looks really nice close-up. They're both similar in vibe, re being short & strappy/sleeveless & pastel, & any would be fine for a relaxed, festival-ish wedding. I like the longer version of the Self Portrait more - but that's just my preference for those proportions.

I love all of these dresses. Your taste is very like mine. In fact I wore a similar dress to the pink one to a couple of weddings years ago, and loved wearing it. Sadly I’m a bit too old for this sort of look now (sob). Wear and enjoy!

@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain Of course she should. It’s really not an issue at a pub reception or indeed at most weddings to look a certain way and avoid pale clothes. Pastel is fine!
