Nailberry. Hands down. No pun intended!

I agree with Nailberry, base and top coat always help too

Yes totally agree with the base and top coat too. It is hard as Nails(berry). Sorry will get my coat!!

Hi OP. Look for ingredients & claims around nitrocellulose, acrylates copolymer, resin-based film formers, & flexible polymers. Those tend to help with chip resistance & wear time. A good top coat matters just as much too especially one with quick-dry polymers & good adhesion.

I used to think OPI was fab and Nails Inc but they don't seem to have any staying power these days...same with Essie.

Might give Nailberry a go as I've wasted so much money on crap ones

Zoya.

I’ve been using Essie for years but I’ve just bought a couple of Nailberry polishes and I’m seriously impressed. I’ve had it on for 2 weeks now without a single chip. Apart from growth at the base, it still looks perfect.

Tortephant · 18/05/2026 19:45

Nailberry. Nothing comes close IMO

iamalexiscarrington · 18/05/2026 19:46

Ok nailberry it is then! I’ll give it a go , thank you all

Chanel. I have the base and top coat plus colour and it’s the only time I’ve ever had normal (rather than gel) polish last a whole week without chipping.

GellerYeller · 18/05/2026 19:53

I used to like Chanel but their brushes are rubbish, so narrow. They don’t seem to pick up much polish and it takes longer to get a decent coverage than say, Essie. Three strokes and you’re done with Essie.
Which I to swear by, with a Sally Hansen top coat.
Nailberry is interesting as I’ve admired a few of their colours. I might give it a try!
I have never got on with Nails Inc. it makes my nail tips peel.

Any particular Nailberry colours recommended?
