Comfortable black sandals

I am having a hysterectomy in June. As was badly anaemic and had to have transfusion and treatment for menorrhagia so hysterectomy will solve it all...
No idea what to wear afterwards for journey home. Nurse suggested black tights and stretchy dress but it will be June. I have some elasticated waist black wide legged River island trousers and could do with some black sandals but no where to buy them not too expensive like under £60. I have some black Adidas sambas would they look ok... Am 5ft 4 and now 9st 6lb after being ill. I was 8st 6lb but put on a stone on in weight so no clothes to wear everything feels tight and don't know what to wear in this new body. None of my summery clothes fit.
Ex we get along OK still he has offered to drive me home after hysterectomy.
Would love some nice black sandals that are comfortable but not too flat and not high.

I had a hysterectomy recently. Bear in mind that you won't be able to bend over to do up buckles, or take them off afterwards. You won't want to wear anything against your stomach, and it's not worth buying new clothes for a journey home to just walk from hospital to car, then from the car to your bed at home. I wore my Hush harem pants with foldover waistband because there was no pressure on the stomach, but that was mid winter. Otherwise I would have just worn a nightie to go home in.

I would go for something comfortable that you can slip on (Birkenstock madrids are very comfortable for me, but you’d need to go and try things on). I’d get a soft summer dress that is spacious as well. Next do nice linen type ones

You just need a pair of slip ons

Also make sure the elasticated waist isnt too tight.
