Budget?

My watch has just died. So I'm interested in this too.

i'M WEARING a 20£ m&s watch now. my watch died and I don't like to rush in to anything..

I think if I had a limitless budget, I'd love to have one of the Hermes ones with the extra long strap that goes twice round your wrist. But I don't have that sort of budget, and would probably be scared to wear something that cost that much, anyway.

JackieNo · 21/06/2008 16:33

How about this, mulberrybag?

JackieNo · 21/06/2008 16:36

I quite like this, but would have to find it in black.

JackieNo · 21/06/2008 16:37

Maybe this, but it has too many fiddly bits on the face, I think.

MammaK · 21/06/2008 16:40

Armani are quite classic, Im 6ft (& short sighted) so wear the classic gents rectangular face & black leather strap with roman numerals

JackieNo · 21/06/2008 16:48

Ooh yes, MammaK - I quite like this Armani one.

JackieNo · 21/06/2008 16:50

Again quite classic, (though not in stock atm).

Question about buying a watch on line. If the bracelet needs to be adjusted, would a local jeweller do it for you when you have bought it on line and not from their shop??

Or would you be stuck with a watch with a too long bracelet.

shreddies · 21/06/2008 19:52

I like this. This has roman numerals and is bigger. These people make nice watches that aren't too expensive

That rotary one is nice Jackieno

twinsetandpearls · 21/06/2008 20:28

Have never heard of cobra and bellamy but they are also nice.

JackieNo · 21/06/2008 21:30

Ooh - I like the Cobra and Bellamy ones. Very nice. Was hoping to spend a bit less than that though.

On the bracelet question, greenelizabeth - I'm sure a jeweller would do it for you - you might have to pay a bit though, I guess.

shreddies · 21/06/2008 21:33

Cobra and Bellamy are lovely aren't they. I used to have one with a rounder face than the ones they make now. I loved it.

JackieNo · 21/06/2008 21:35

My current (and now, I think, completely defunct) one cost about £19 years and years ago (must be at least 15 years old, I'd guess), and it's lasted well, even though almost all the 'silver' had come off the plastic case. But I loved it, so I'm very sad to see it go.
