So I’m going to a bottomless brunch in London. Looks quite classy but I have no idea what to wear! Travelling a couple of hours and using tube etc so want something comfy on feet preferably but want to look nice! Any ideas?!

How about wide leg trousers and a waistcoat kind of look, slip a pair of flats on and then put some heels on just before you get to the venue z

This was exactly what I had in mind!

Not snobbery, just people pointing out that a bottomless brunch is not a Buckingham Palace garden party in terms of dress code or ‘class’.

I used to go to Quags back in the day. Must look out for bottomless brunches there.

Me too! I stole a Q ashtray from there some point in the late 90s. Those were good times.

My friend stole 2 quags ashtrays from there in the past! Same era too.

Me too! Unfortunately the "stolen" ashtrays usually ended up added to the bill - the staff there didn't miss a trick!

I've been to classy brunches and not so.... You will get a mixture of outfits, I always like to dress "up" rather than down.. Why not, it doesn't happen enough for me!!
If you're feeling in between how about wedges with float trousers and fitted top. Or take your heels in a bag and change over! Have fun!!

It must have been a ‘thing’, I don’t really remember.

The idea of smoking in a restaurant just seems wild now!

No bottomless brunch is ‘classy’! No one dresses up in London anyway. Smart jeans, nice top, white jacket, good accessories that look expensive. Scarf. Perfect.
Shoes. Decent trainers may be fine unless it’s the Ritz, Savoy, Claridges, Dorchester but I don’t think they do bottomless brunches 😁

Edited

Exactly right. London is very relaxed compared with places elsewhere. You might be shocked.
Unless to a very formal do or place then smart casual will be fine. The further North you go the more people will ‘dress up’.

Sorry quoted the wrong person !!!!

Nice jeans.
Nice top.
Everybody there are sure to know you’re from MN.

My friend was never charged as far as I know. But her boyfriend often paid for us all so no idea!

I never smoked but my best friend did. She was a social smoker. Agreed you just wouldn’t see it now in a restaurant.
