Cream dress how to avoid tan transfer

I’m renting a cream dress for an occasion. Part of the rental is they dry clean the garment before and after wear. My question is fake tan. I’m planning on getting a spray tan two days prior to the occassion. Any tips to avoid transfer. There is nothing in the contract to say tan and make up cannot be used but I’m still conscious.

I’ve heard hairspray is v good at preventing transfer.. you spray the areas of the dress you don’t want the transfer to occur.

@halfpasteleven I heard that too and for hairdressers to get dye out of black but not sure if it would leave a yellow tinge?

Clear tan! (Not actually clear, il explain) Most spray tans transfer because of the guide colour left over not the actual tan. I use sienna x clear tan on my clients who have a special event booked. It goes on clear but develops into a nice golden tan. Because there’s no guide colour, no transfer. Ask around locally to see if anyone offers that service x

Clear tan still transfers. Essentially the tan colour which develops is still pigmented it’s not a chemical reaction within your skin which can’t transfer! It’s a product, sitting on top of your skin which absolutely will transfer if you sweat etc.

you’re getting the tan a couple of days before, just make sure you have a couple of showers after the tan application before wearing the dress, most of the excess will come off but will leave the colour on your skin. There will be a small amount of transfer on areas where the fabric rubs a lot against your skin or you sweat but they’ll get it out after dry cleaning.
