I’m due to start a new job shortly which involves going into London a few times per month for work. I’m legal/corporate, but haven’t been office based for some time. It’s a big firm and I want to make a good impression.

Any recommendations for work attire? Does anyone work in the legal industry in London who can point me in the right direction as to workwear for a mid 40s female, size 14, 5ft 7 👍

In London legal/corporate it’s usually still fairly smart and conservative, especially at first. You don’t need full suits daily, but smart trousers or midi skirts with blouses or fine knits and a blazer is a safe base.

I'm a lawyer in central London. My colleagues and I swear by Hobbs (we all seem to have the same suit...) - washes well if you can't be bothered with dry cleaning. Largely non iron.
Reiss pretty nice for dresses, coats etc. I like Massimo Dutti for more interesting but still formal pieces. The Fold is expensive but has some really gorgeous stuff and they will tailor it for you.

Not bad prices for Hobbs suits

And you can often pick up nice pieces on Vinted. Good old Covid means a lot of people retired their barely worn workwear, and good old Mounjaro means a lot of people have changes sizes!
