So after my hairdresser of 8 years completely hacked my hair to death when I last had it cut in March, I have waited this long trying to grow it again.

Its still got some short layers in it, but is probably Victoria Beckhams length.

I think I want a short-ish bob, if only to let the layers grow down a bit and get it all one length.

Can I have layers with a bob?
How short should I go?
Any suggestions or pics?

Layers work really well with a bob. They add movement and make the style look more up to date. I have a layed nbob so am slightly biased. You can see it on my profile but it may be longer than your hair.

yes yours is much longer than mine. My top layers are only just coming to the top of my ears though, Im worried the longer bits will look wispy

well I sort of have a pob now, its longer at the front and layered at the back.
I want it all the same length all the way round, which means I'll have to go shorter til they all grow.

I love katie Holme's hair and it makes her look really stylish and stunning. Keisha sugerbabe hair really nice too. Depends on whether you want the fringe on not? I have small forhead to any fringe makes me look all hair and no face but really love them on others.

I suppose my hair is a bit gwyneth! Never really thought about it but you're right! Mine os now all one length around the bottom and has some long layers too. Also, at a good length where I can curl with GHDs for a different look.

Agree with Neeerly though, just utter 'pob' and they should be able to sort you out!

my head resembles the tefal man (or Ant as in Ant and Dec). My fringe is shorter at the moment, not sure if I wanna keep it swept (like Katies) or all one length with hair (like keishas)
