Recommendations for reducing fine lines and wrinkles with skincare

I’m noticing more fine lines and wrinkles on my face, I use face cream morning and night. Is there anything you could recommend that may help reduce them?

The only real science backed skincare with proven results is SPF, vitamin C and retinol.

If you use retinol then start with a low strength product two or three evenings a week and you absolutely must use SPF (which everyone should be doing anyway).

Personally, my skin doesn't tolerate retinol very well so I use a Bakuchiol serum in the evenings which is the plant derived version of retinol and that seems to work well for me.

Then a Vitamin C serum and a SPF in the mornings. Plus drinking plenty of water!

Agree with retinol. start small doses every couple of days. I am also using Clarins double serum in the morning and Estee launder advanced night serum aswell. this on top of moisturiser eye cream and spf
trentnion cream is another good one for dark spots and brightening your skin
if you can afford it highly recommend microneedling and polynucliotides treatment for under eyes. it's amazing fir skin

I’ve tried all sorts on my face including serums and retinol but I’ve found the basics are best - a decent cleanser and moisturiser (currently on Clinique) but the only thing that has made a startling difference is taking collagen. As in, I’ve been on it for five weeks and people are noticing how good my skin looks. I was at a conference in London on Wednesday with no air con (thanks, Excel) and people I’d not seen for six months were saying how fresh faced and young I looked - admittedly we were in the bar!

I definitely think it’s made a difference. My partner and kids have noticed too. My skin looks much fresher, and my eyes are better in pics.

I also feel less crepy in the decollege if that makes sense.

This is the second time I’ve tried collagen. The first time I didn’t really research and just got some. Did bugger all 😂

This time I’ve taken my time and done loads of looking into it. Let me know if you want a referral code.

I use collagen supplement and LED face mask. Plus below routine all from Paula’s Choice so easy to order, it’s expensive but I wait for offers and bulk buy.

Morning:
vitamin c serum
peptide serum
factor 50 face cream

Evening:
AHA exfoliant
Hyralaunic acid
Retinol serum
Night cream

I’ve done the skincare for 10 years now and my skin looks better now than it did when I was 30 (I used a lot of sunbeds when I was young so had some repairing to do!)

A moisturizer hydrates & plumps temporarily but doesn't address the underlying collagen & cell turnover that determines how lines develop. Try adding retinoid at night (retinaldehyde if you want something gentler) & vitamin C serum in the morning for antioxidant protection & collagen support. And SPF daily.
