Where do you buy slips to improve the drape of summer dresses?

Where do you buy your slips for dresses? I realise that is probably a dated thing to do, but I think it will improve the 'flow' of a lot of my summer dresses that are not lined.

I’ve seen M&S slips which have a bra attached, ones which go underneath and around a bra making a U shape, and ones which are 35” long. None of those seems to be available at the moment.

M&S also make cool comfort culottes which are absolutely brilliant if you suffer from chafed thighs on hot days.

I tried one from m&s in winter to stop my dress sticking to my opaque tights but it gave me a mono-boob 😢 I couldn’t find one that draped nicely at the chest.

Edited

John Lewis has a full slip which fits around rather than over your bra at the front, so you don’t get the mono-boob look. It extends further over the bra than the U shaped ones I I remember from M&S, though.

Have you tried them? I bought several in the last sale when they went to 70% off, and I’m hoping they don’t ride/bunch up between the thighs when I walk.

Several because they only come in one length, so I’ll shorten some.

Oh yes, they are fabulous and they don't bunch up. My thighs meet at the top regardless of how slim I get, and usually 'eat' shorts but these are loose and slippery so they flow beautifully.

I found one in Matalan to go under a dress I wore to a wedding a few years ago and it's been great. Not that I wear dresses very often any more..might be worth a look though

Thank you, that’s very positive.

Mine are a mix of M&S, JL and Next, usually depending on what’s available colour/size wise when I need one.

So many see through clothes around nowadays, couldn’t do without them!
