how am I meant to use it before moisturiser as an alternative or as a night cream?

He has gone off on a stag this weekend and by the time he gets back I am expecting to have glowing beautiful skin.

I guess you use it as a face cream/moisturiser..

Its been said on mn to provide a "dewy" look as guess its to be applied and then put make up on top...Sounds like its doing the same job prehaps as clarins BFB x

BoysAreLikeDogs · 20/06/2008 14:41

Use as a night cream, too claggy for daytime, IMVHO

You will smell like vanilla ice cream

MrsBadger · 20/06/2008 14:42

it is just a very very rich moisturiser (ie almost pure olive oil)

if your skin is dry you might be able to get away with it during the day but it makes most people oily, so just use a teeny dab at night, well rubbed in.

TillyScoutsmum · 20/06/2008 14:43

Jam - am very .... None to be found in our Waitrose and I've been looking for months... Let us know if it works

What is it made of? Shea butter?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 20/06/2008 18:02

Olive oil, camomile and vanilla

Mumooms · 20/06/2008 18:05

So why isn't everyone just using olive oil then? I've been wondering this since the very beginning of the Waitrose BBB saga

BoysAreLikeDogs · 20/06/2008 18:07

It is lush though, not sure I would want to smell of olive oil heh heh heh

bran · 20/06/2008 18:08

Just use a very small amount at night after cleansing, and warm it on your hand before applying. I found it really good for my decolletage which is showing the signs of too much sun (because I always remember to put sunblock on my face but forget my chest when wearing a low cut top).

littleducks · 20/06/2008 18:17

i got some from john lewis
smells divine, dh v impressed but is too rich for my face have just used it on my feet, knees and elbows

Monkeytrousers · 20/06/2008 19:47

I used to do that actually - just remembered. Got an atomiser and mixed freah olive oil (filippo berio extra virgin ) and water and sprayed after a bath. Didn't smell fo anything.

Too rich for me face though. Use peanut oil on that

...must go and get another one of them - saved loads of money.

Ah - thanks for doing the research. My mother bought me a pot recently (what's she trying to tell me?) and I have been eyeing it up warily. Last person I know who used olive oil on their face got hairy.

sandyballs · 23/06/2008 13:31

at hairy.

PheasantPlucker · 25/06/2008 19:05

I have been using mine to moisturise my feet. It is great.

beautyscientist · 26/06/2008 07:01

I think this product is really only suitable for people with very dry skin. It isn't simply olive oil, it is a modified form of olive oil. And yes, you will smell like vanilla flavoured ice cream.
