Swim hat

I’m trying to swim regularly as part of a boosting wellness campaign on my part, but am struggling with the chlorine and frequent hair washing. In an ideal world I’d wash my hair every time I go swimming, but time is an issue and sometimes it’s not convenient.
I do wear a swimming cap but still my hair gets wet, particularly at the back.
Does anyone have any tips for preventing this or recommendations for swimming caps?

Swimming caps don’t keep your hair dry.

Smother your dry hair in cheap conditioner before you put the swimming cap on. Wash your hair and cap when you shower after your swim.

A silicone one is your best bet.
Type “swim cap that keeps hair dry” into Amazon.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried that, but then the cap keeps sliding off, and it still means I have to wash my hair every time. I did find that spray on conditioner applied a few hours before ( so that it's dry when I put the cap on) helps protect the hair from the chlorine without the sliding off problem, but I'm still looking for a way of keeping my hair dry.
Maybe *hellospring26 *is right and I just need to accept that, but hoping someone has the magic answer!

Thanks, I have a silicone one, was wondering if there's maybe a specific brand that someone has tried that works?

I'm hoping there is an exception, but you may well be right!
