Eborian CC cream Dore but less orange?

Based on all the brilliant recommendations on here, I bought a tube of Eborian cc cream. The site colour matched me to Dore but its tan verging orange on me. Can anyone recommend a similar shade but without the tangerine hues? I will be able to use Dore when I have a tan and I do tan easily. I just want something more beige I think but no lighter as that would be too pale.

Also how’s best to apply it? It’s feeling a bit dry on my skin.

Thank you!

Dore was Oompa Loompa on me!

Nude, which is supposed to be pale, gives me quite a bit of a warm glow. That might be worth a try.
I think the colours are so off that I ended up buying samples off eBay in several shades in the end. That might be worth doing before committing to another full sized one.
Do be aware that the use with opening symbol on those is only 6 months, so don’t rely solely on that for your spf.

Are you using your moisturiser as usual before applying? These are complexion correctors, rather than moisturisers, so you do need to use your usual moisturiser before applying.

Thank you! I didn’t use moisturiser so that’ll be the issue. I usually wear tinted moisturiser or tinted sunscreen. My forehead looks ridiculously orange! I think I’ll go down the eBay route as you suggest. I paid £20 for a small new Dore so can’t keep spending that just to test!

Had the same problem, one shade too dark, the other too light. so I got both and mix them together.

Did you manage to lose the orange by doing that?

yes it's much better with the nude

Thank you! I’ll buy a nude and take from there

I like the Clair

MrsCarmelaSoprano · 19/04/2026 07:52

Sounds like you need Clair, mind you, I found that to dark too and drying.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 19/04/2026 08:12

I mix clair and dore together in the summer and moisturise and apply spf beforehand. I use the bb cream in the winter sometimes in the nude shade.

redredwine40 · 19/04/2026 08:14

I also mix dore and nude together! Definitely need to moisturise first before

Drpawpawspaw · 19/04/2026 08:15

I’m really pale and have managed to use the purple CC dull correct one without orange disasters!

Blackcurrantcurd · 19/04/2026 09:38

I really appreciate all your experiences! I’m now swaying to sample Clair first.

I went for Nude and it’s perfect! And I can mix with Dore for a bit more tan colour. Thank you all for your comments 🙂
