Marionette filler before and afters for those considering

So having done lots of research and read a few helpful threads on here, I finally took the plunge and got filler in my marionette lines. I’m thrilled by the result! And I thought for anyone contemplating it a blow by blow account might be helpful.

I opted for numbing cream and had it applied an hour beforehand. My injector used a cannula which meant only one injection site on each side and no bruising. She was very gentle and it was honestly almost pain free save for a couple of pinches. Used 1ml of filler in total and apparently should last c9 months. If I’d known how straightforward and comfortable it was going to be I would have done it years ago!

pics are immediately before and two days after so still slightly swollen - apparently in a week it should be totally settled. Line areas feel slightly firm but nothing intrusive.

I have this. Great isn’t it?

harriethoyle · 16/04/2026 12:22

I am thrilled @AppleDumplingWithCustard and was also amazed at how non-intrusive the procedure was!

i hate my lines and avoid the mirror and having my photo taken, sadly I can't afford to this treatment, that amount of money is my council tax and water rates monthly payment! Looks good and I am so jealous, enjoy and I hope it boosts your confidence.

CandiedPrincess · 16/04/2026 12:55

Really want this done. Looks great OP.

Holesinmesocks · 16/04/2026 12:57

Looking good OP, but I'm another who would be concerned about the long term effects.

Hohumitsreallyallthereis · 16/04/2026 13:07

You look great. Thanks for sharing. I’m still too scared to do it but I’m jealous!

Staffygirl · 16/04/2026 13:16

You look great, and you have a lovely smile OP

harriethoyle · 16/04/2026 13:50

Ah, thanks @Staffygirl 😊

Argh I don’t really like my smile but will oblige for the greater good 🤣 I’ve tried to find a pre filler photo for comparison too

Love you for this, thanks! Huge difference, and you've a lovely smile.

@shallysally hope this tag will work!

Am I missing something? Your mouth looks completely normal before and completely normal after and I don't know what's supposed to have changed.

I wouldn't pay £250 for whatever difference has supposedly happened between the two. Genuinely feel like the kid in the Emperor's New Clothes

HausofHolbein · 22/04/2026 12:37

I'm lost too - what has changed? (And unlike PP, I am ALL for tweakments and will happily throw money at the same)

wishingonastar101 · 22/04/2026 12:49

I had it done - I had a delayed allergic reaction 4 month after and had to have it dissolved. Worst thing ever.

Yes, you are.

It's not her mouth.

It's the sagging lines/folds between the corners of her bottom lip and her chin.

Google Marionette lines.

Folds from bottom lips to jaw.

NeveronSundays · 22/04/2026 13:10

@harriethoyle It looks great. If you have a top up anytime ask them to put a very tiny bit in the corner of your lips to lift the very slight downturn.

harriethoyle · 22/04/2026 13:20

Thanks @NeveronSundays - my sil suggested a little bit of lower face Botox for that, is that something you’ve tried? Back next Tuesday for my review so I’ll ask then 🙂

I've never had Botox. I do know someone who had your filler and she said the dr placed a tiny bit of filler right in the corners of her lower lip just to lift it about 1mm.

The person who did it for you might be happy to use a 'dab' in the corners but depends on cost and if they will swallow that.

You have amazing lips - very defined Cupid's bow.

harriethoyle · 22/04/2026 13:30

Oh thanks ☺️ I’ll ask Tuesday and see what my lady says

I must admit I don't think it looks any different. You looked nice before and nice after. The difference is so subtle that when you are talking or have any facial expression surely it wouldn't notice anyway. The slightly warmer colour in the second photo makes more difference than the filler.
