Got an interview with a housing charity for admin work on Tuesday. All my smart work clothes are too small. I’ve got:-

a) Primark long checked shirtdress (it was the sold out one over Covid) plus black blazer
b) blue &otherstories button blouse/top or various print blouses plus black stretch knee length M&S workwear skirt and black blazer.

The only handbags I have are designer (Chanel boy, mulberries etc) apart from some coloured leather ones. But do have Uniqlo crescent corduroy bag. Got black smart shoes.

Which option would you go for? And is the Uniqlo bag ok or could I get away with a Mulberry?

Panel are one manager, one head of depts and one resident.

I’d go with the &other blue shirt. Do you have any smart tailored trousers? Mulberry bag.

No they don’t fit. Actually yes I think I do have linen blend trousers in black. Are you sure Mulberry bag is ok?

Yes, the shirt is a classic, the trousers more casual, the bag polished.
balanced and sophisticated, not showy.
