Anyone tried Dermatica for thinning hair and minoxidil side effects?

I've used Dermatica for my skin for years and am very happy.
I've been bothered about my thin hair for years now, and finally decided to try to do something about it (beyond the usual shampoos/thickening creams etc)
I've got a solution from Dermatica on the way and was wondering if anyone has any experience of it?
Also, if you use minoxidil, have you experienced facial hair growth?? This is worrying me a bit 😅
Thanks.

I’ve used generic minoxidil lotion for a few years and not experienced any extra facial hair growth. Would the minoxidil not just work locally? If it got on your face you would just wipe it off.
Although maybe you’ve got oral minoxidil-your post doesn’t say. I‘ve never used oral so not sure about that.

@sociableintrovert123 Thank you for replying.
It will be topical, not oral. I think the whole facial hair thing might well be scaremongering by a beauty company offering an alternative to minoxidil. My algorithm seems to be throwing all sorts of hair -related stuff up.
How have you found minoxidil generally?

It’s worked very well for me. I had covid years ago and although I felt completely fine, afterwards my hair started falling out like crazy. I also got bloods by my GP and my ferritin was low (30). So starting iron replacement in combination with minoxidil worked a treat. I use a generic version from Amazon. I applied every night for ages and now I can get away with alternate nights. I think the mousse is supposed to be better if you don’t wash your hair often as it doesn’t contain propylene glycol which can make your hair greasy looking, but can be harder to get right into the roots. I can’t remember if I got the ‘dread shed’ when I started using it but I continued obviously even if I did. My hair is as thick as ever now. I put it on my eyebrows too to thicken them up and this is working well.

I have been taking oral supplements (skin+me) and I think its helped a bit but my hair is still really thin. Not 100% convinced.

Minoxidil is the active ingredient in Regaine. Depending on the strength you may be able to buy this much cheaper online!

My hair thinned.(thanks perimenopause!) I tried minoxidil but didn't notice a difference. Iron tablets (Ferrous Fumarate 210mg) improved my hair but took 6 months or more to start to notice it looking better.

I take oral minoxidil from hair and me (skin and me). It’s taken a good 6 months to notice the difference but my hair is looking really thick now. I had proper thin patches, it was horrible. I don’t have anymore facial hair than before. I do take testosterone too so I’m always looking out for them. Maybe I have more baby hairs on my face but I’m blond anyway. My 90s eyebrows are sorted now too.

Thanks everyone.
I'll be interested to see how it goes. There's a real mix of experiences here.
