Dark circles under eyes

I’m 33 and recently noticed the dark circles under my eyes are especially noticeable. I have two toddlers but it seems more of a permanent thing rather than sleep related. Sometimes I catch sight of myself in the mirror and think I have a black eye. What can I use to fix this?

I have this - it's hereditary for me and nothing to do with sleep, diet, skincare etc.
I go for a treatment called lumieyes where hyloronic acid is injected in the dark areas

I think my aesthetics clinic charges around £80 (but a course of 3 is recommended to start you off)

Results will vary, but I find I only need a top up once a year, honestly it's done so much for my confidence as it's something I'd been insecure about since secondary school

Interesting, how old were you when you started doing the injections?

I have awful dark circles too and presume it’s genetic. I sleep well, eat well and my bloods are fine. I’m pale skinned which I think makes them worse. I cover them with a colour corrector first (Clinique) then use concealer-every day! I will look into Lumieyes though.

@Wallaroo21
I think about 25, I'd never heard of this treatment but was treating myself to a facial and the aesthetician (who is a registered nurse) told me about it after I'd mentioned my undereye being something I was conscious of

Worth identifying which type you have first. For pigmentation-based darkness try vitamin C, niacinamide, & kojic acid. For the bluish-purple vascular type, caffeine & peptides work better by improving circulation/strengthening the under-eye skin. A good eye cream with retinol also makes a cumulative difference over time. Sometimes it's also genetic!

Colour corrector and a concealer

Hm looking at my mum today I think it is genetic yes. I’ll definitely look into lumi eyes. I’m guessing no creams are going to fix genetics. I don’t really like wearing foundation every day as my skin breaks out easily.

Do you by any chance drink Diet Coke or anything with artificial sweeteners? I looked like I'd been punched in both eyes until cut out all diet drinks.
