Work clothes for warmer weather

I don't need to dress particularly formally for work, I'm a software engineer, but when I go into the office I like to be a little bit smarter than WFH. In the winter I mostly wear Me & Em trousers (the soft waisted ones, they aren't particularly tailored or structured but they fall nicely) with a plain t-shirt and cardigan, or sometimes a shirt with vest top underneath.
Trying to work out what the equivalent will be in the summer and what to buy this year. I almost need an easy but smart "uniform" that i don't have to think about too much. I could honestly go in jeans and a t-shirt but I prefer being slightly smarter as I feel more serious esp working with all men, but I don't want to be fully suited either. It's the lighter fabrics, colours and shoes I can't entirely figure out. Just want a fairly small capsule wardrobe for the days I do go into the office.

I have no bandwidth for shopping these days, so I just go to a Uniqlo big store and buy linen shirts, linen blend blouses, chinos, supima cotton tshirts, and maybe one cotton dress. My uniform is a combination of these. I can't wear polyester.

Also agreeUniqlo is your friend.
I’d go with an airism vest top with built in bra, linen blend trousers (the comptoir de cottoniers range is lovely and smart but have a slight barrel shape so quite on trend - look great with birks or pumps) and a shirt open over the top.

I have a lot from Comptoir De Cottoniers and Ines De La Fressange collabs. Uniqlo does very good slouchy trousers.

Yes i do like Uniqlo actually, good shout, I've had loads of the Airism vest tops in previous years so could do with a restock. Glad they have stopped all being midriff length in summer, which was the issue a couple of year ago! And 100% agree on needing natural fabrics.
Me&em seem to have some creaseless linen trousers (no idea how that works) so maybe need to look at those too.

I also like Muji and Cos. Muji has good plain dresses.
I like Japnese style and I don't like frills, patterns and puff sleeves.

Yes me too. This is definitely a good shout for the kind of the smart but comfortable work style i want to go for.

Can you link to those trousers you mentioned in your first post?

I've also just bought, might be a bit too floaty for your job, a couple of midi skirts from hush which I wear with a shell tank or a sharp plain T-shirt

The stretch ones?
This kind of thing, may not be the exact ones but I have a couple of these pairs, one more flared/wider than the other, in navy and black www.meandem.com/palazzo-pant-black
