Its for my Dh's work do and I want to wear something a bit "with it", but what shoes should I wear and what accessories?
I'm a size 10-ish with saddlebags btw and 35.

Wear with electric blue heels and oversized clutchbag

Flier · 19/06/2008 10:06

really? Sounds a bit scary for me, not very fashionable at all lol!
Should I play safe and get either gold heels or black heels - but how high?

Nice. Very 50s
these
and these
and a hat, gloves and clutch bag

nailpolish · 19/06/2008 10:20

gold heels woudl look naff
black heels would look like you were off to work

you need red heels (patent) and an oversize clutch

nailpolish · 19/06/2008 10:21

a hat?

lisalisa · 19/06/2008 10:31

I think low heeled and classy ( say suede)cream/white ( to match the top part) shoes - low court heel not flat and bare tanned legs. [ smile]

Flier · 19/06/2008 10:32

Hathor, the sunnies and shoes were gorgeous, but don't feel they'd be dressy enough for a night time "do".
Nailpolish hmm, could see me wearing red patent heels, thanks, will see what I can see. x

lisalisa, thanks for your idea, can also see me wearing something like that, will see what I can see, thanks x

patent black killer heels
definitely an [oversized] clutch bag
colour will kill it - stick to black, cream, maybe pewter
i thought hathor's shoes were spot on actually, v vintage marc jacobs

Hathor · 19/06/2008 11:15

Thank you mazzy. Cheaper too!
Bet they are both going to the same do

Flier · 19/06/2008 11:23

Hathor, I'm gonna take a look at those shoes, actually, think they may be more "me"!

DarthVader · 19/06/2008 14:17

shoes like this
clutch
clutch selection

Oversized clutches are hot this season - I am suprised that you view them as "not very fashionable at all"!

You did say you wanted to look "with it"

nailpolish · 19/06/2008 14:19

oh good god darth what an orgasmic line up

DarthVader · 19/06/2008 14:22

do you think they will get dh's colleagues falling at her feet nailpolish?

nailpolish · 19/06/2008 14:23

yes!

arent the shoes really gorgeous

DarthVader · 19/06/2008 14:25

yes you gotta love 'em
which colour do you like best? I like the blue

mazzystar · 19/06/2008 14:28

I thought op meant that she wasn't v fashionable, not the clutch bag
still think best to stick with balck and white with the frock though

DarthVader · 19/06/2008 14:31

perhaps depends on what kind of impression flier would like to make...I was thinking men and women alike falling aside in a swoon as she walks trips along

Flier · 19/06/2008 14:44

DarthVader, absolutely loving those shoes - and I definately meant that I am indeed not very fashionable.

Now where can I get a copy of those shoes? I certainly cannot afford the £435 price tag

OP posts:
DarthVader · 19/06/2008 14:52

I will have a google around for some copies ! I liked the fact that they were satin like your dress.
