How can I stop my dress straps slipping off my shoulders?

I have a dress with sleeves similar to the attached picture however they just won't stay up.

Does anyone have any magic hacks for keeping straps up.

Last resort will be to take it an alterations place but I'd like to find my own solution first.

You can buy double sized clear tape for clothing issues like these. I use them to keep my bra strap from peaking or from under summer dresses and tops, and occasionally where shirt buttons seem like they might expose me, despite not being fitted.

Can you open up the shoulders and thread some elastic through? Or add some bias binding to make a channel and thread elastic through that. Or nip the shoulder in at the back but that might alter the position of the sleeve. My DD tried a similar shoulder on a dress recently and sent it back. It had a low back and alteration was tricky. You could add a tie across the back but obviously that alters the design.

There are little gadgets that can be used to anchor them to your bra strap. A good habadashery will sell them.

You could try shoulder strap retainers. Sew or pin one part to your sleeves and it clips around your bra strap. They’re only a few pounds.

I have a dress like this. I safety pin it to my bra strap at the top of the shoulder.

Why didn't I think of safety pins!! That seems like the easiest idea as I'm really not good at sewing! I'll see how I get on with pins first and then potentially look at a more permanent method like the retainers as these seem like a great idea as well.
