Sensory friendly bra top

Hello, I’m hoping you wonders may be able to help me as I feel like I’ve looked everywhere. My daughter needs to start wearing a bra. Not for comfort yet, but for modesty. Her school shirts are too see through as we get to the summer. And it won’t be long before she needs it for support too, so we need so solve this now.
However she has additional needs which means she won’t be able to manage a clasp. She also has very significant sensory needs and won’t tolerate a tight band around her chest. I’ve ordered and returned SO many.

I think the only solution is a loose-ish very cropped vest. Or a vest with light support. But cropped. She can’t tolerate anything which makes her too warm. I have one like this from years ago and it was from Asda. But it has lace at the bottom which is too tickly.

Any pointers from similarly sensory people, or any super sleuths who can find me a very cropped, fairly loose fitting white bra top? Thank you!

My DD is autistic with sensory issues and her best bra tops have been Danskin ones bought at tkmaxx. I'll see if I can find a link

Typical, I can't find them anywhere available now, but this is what they look like. Very soft and silky, no fastenings

Would shapewear bras or sleep pull on bra's be OK. Never diagnosed myself but I have suffered skin sensory issues all my life. Bra's, socks and waist shaped garments send me through a loop. Don't get me started on teddybear fabric Dunhelm products.

Dd is similar and likes these - they are very soft and the cups don't come out and crumple into balls when washed (seems to be the norm and causes hours of fumbling and re-flattening that never quite works).

I have sensory issues & wear boody bralettes which are very soft or Sloggi zero feel. Or would she tolerate a Uniqlo vest top with an inbuilt bra?

Yes as long as the band underneath is not right. Also it can’t be wide as she can’t tolerate the band folding over when she sits down / leans forward

Thank you. I’ve tried Sloggi zero feel but not Boody yet. However I’d forgotten about Uniqlo and just looked there. There are quite a few I can try.

Thank you for all these suggestions. So nice to know we are not the only ones with this problem. I’ve got a few avenues to try now.

I got some at Sainsbury’s- a pack
of two that are comfortable though I still have to wear them inside out!

I gave awful sensory issues with a lot of clothes and bras are a nightmare.

The girls section in Uniqlo usually has some very plain and soft bralettes, or vests with support. It’s worth looking there as well as the women’s section. These are seam free and very soft, though not very supportive https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/products/E482007-000/00?colorDisplayCode=00&sizeDisplayCode=150

Muji have some really nice bralette camisoles.
This one attached is cotton with a cotton internal bralette. The underwear also looks good. I love Muji for it's pure cotton items.

I also have sensory issues with clothing, especially bras. I now wear these from Stripe and Stare. I wear the next size up - really I should wear size M but the band is too tight, so I wear L which gives sufficient support and also means that I don't spend the day desperate to tear it off!

Primark sports bras might be worth a try. They usually have racer back / halter next straps so they shouldn't shuffle around.

I see they say non-padded - do they cover the nip area enough not to show through? Our other issue (after the textures and labels and padding falling out and never lying flat again in padded bras) is that any that don't are thin cotton which effectively doesn't look like you are covered under a white school shirt. I'd love to find some less structured ones that you can just wear a T shirt over.

They aren’t super thin and I wear T-shirts over them but they aren’t padded. I find the padded ones have too tight a band.

I have another kind that’s more of a vest with an extra layer and support over bra area. They’re from the sleep section of primark and they aren’t padded really good and thicker and no tight band but are more of a vest. They’re super soft too. Mine is very pale grey. I can’t find a link for you online annoyingly but worth having a look.
