Straighteners or Airwrap for thin shortish hair

I have thin hair after two kids (although I think it's been thinning slowly since early 20s). I have it cut short. I have the kind of hair though that needs straightening to look ok. Not curly, more frizzy. Most days I don't bother and just tie it back as best I can.

My GHD hair straighteners are 20 year old this year. I think it might be time for an upgrade!

So the question is what tool should I buy? I considered an air wrap or a cheaper alternative. Or just some straighteners? If you have an air wrap type thing do you also need hair straighteners?

Any advice very welcome!

Air wrap definitely
no need to use straighteners with it so I find it leads to a more natural smooth hair look

I have a Dyson but friends have the shark one and it’s pretty good.

I have shoulder length fine hair, prone to fluff and frizz. I get excellent results with an Air Straight, rather than Air Wrap. Got both. The Air Wrap has loads of attachments that I never use. The Shark one is apparently better. But highly recommend the Air Straight.

I don’t think rhe air wrap works very well with thin hair

A GHD Glide or Air Rise would probably work well for you - sorry to add another into the mix! I have fine, shortish hair too and I’ve always assumed the air wraps worked better on longer hair.

Does anyone have GHD platinum or chrono straighteners?
