Price of clothes

Is anyone else surprised by the money some Mumsnetters spend on an item of clothing as if it were a mere bagatelle?
I would never have dreamed of paying the ridiculous prices for things discussed on here sometimes. ( Even when I had money).
An example.....£125 for a bag for a teenage girl to use for school. If we all refused to pay for these things prices would have to fall.

Random aside - I had a look at the me+em jacket and thought it looked quite nice, I’m currently in France so it took me to the EU site which tells me that instead of being £650 it would be €1000. An almost 35% increase!

that must be one of the boldest currency markets ups I’ve seen in recent years 😮😮

Thanks for that @BetsyRegards I remember some of the Topshop jeans used to be made by the same suppliers as some of the higher end brands.
